As a kid I would watch the skim boarders and think, man I want to try that, but the boards were hard to find and expensive. This is great.Well made, high quality materials, perfect shape and weight.Just practice with it for a while and off you go, skimming along the water at the beach, super fun when you get it down.

Overall... a great board. My one star deduction is around the fact they claim it is for adults. At 36" length this is a pretty short board for as thin as it is. Likely 100lbs or so weight wise is about as heavy as you want to go. It's a decent thickness (which helps) but you might have a hard time getting this to go very far if you're north of 100-120lbs. (Typically looking for like 40"+) I know they claim 150 but that's going to be challenging I think.Potential length issues aside (my daughter will be able to ride this no problem) I do really like the padded top... good grip and will make learning to ride much easier on her. I suspect it'll wear a bit more than going with a wood top like we used to have but it'll last plenty long to get our money's worth out of it.All in all a solid option for learning to skimboard with maybe optimistic sizing in the marketing of it.

The design on bottom is cool. Feels nicely made, but it seem a little on the thin side. In the product pictures it says the weight limit is 80-150 lbs but in the description it says 80-120 lbs. Like other reviewers mentioned, it seems thin and short for an adult and even tho I'm an averaged sized woman I don't know that it's going to work well for me. I wouldn't say this should be marketed for adults.

I got this in mid-fall. I have not used it since the sea around us is 50 degrees and dropping. Having used skimboards, it looks the part and I have no reason to believe it will not be a good product.Ideal as a children's present.

I got this for my 11 year old who likes to boogie board and started surfing last summer, so although he's new to skimboarding, I feel like he'll be able to pick it up quickly. He's tall for his age, so as someone else mentioned, I definitely wouldn't think older teens or larger adults are going to do well with this. It seems like a lightweight but solid beginner board for kids, tweens, and smaller teens. I love the design, and everything about the listing seems to be accurate. Can't wait to have him hit the beach with this when the warm weather comes back!

This is our first skim board. I can't say if it is a good one or not. I ordered it for my 12 year old to use at the beach. He is still trying to get the hang of it, but the board really looks nice. He is very happy with the design.
