These socks are very warm and comfortable. They are soft and easy to put on. They are tight enough to stay up but not so tight that they cut off the circulation to my feet. I like them so much that l bought two more pairs. I highly recommend them.

Great socks for all day comfort in my work boots. They stay up and don’t bunch up under my feet. I prefer cotton during the summer, but these work well for me in colder weather. They look good and have held up well to multiple cycles through the washing machine.

These socks are really nice! They're thick and comfy, which is perfect for the cold winter weather. They fit my size 13 feet well and stay up without rolling down. They seem to be well-made, and I haven't had any issues with them after wearing them several times. Overall, these are really great socks for the price!

These socks have a very nice texture and they are basically a tube sock. The stitching of the seams look really good. The inside of the socks does have extra thread all along the sides which I tend to dislike but when worn, I don't feel the extra thread at all. The socks are very comfortable and soft. The socks fit my feet perfectly with no bulky material around the ankle or toe. I was worried that they would be much thicker since the seller has a fireball picture meaning warm and therefore probably thicker. Turns out these socks are thicker than my everyday socks but I had no issues wearing my everyday footwear with them.How were these socks in the cold?I wore a pair of these thermal crew socks outside (temp was -4°C) with summer boots (no insulation) and noted how cold my feet were after 15 minutes. I waited one hour for the boots and my feet to rewarm and repeated the process with my everyday socks. My results from this unscientific test was my feet were as cold with both pairs of socks.How do they wash up?These socks were washed in an automatic machine with warm water and some soap and then dried in the dryer. I inspected the seams afterwards and turned the socks outside in and there were no surprises. There were a few small lint balls on the inside which was expected.Overall great socks and since they are a tad thicker than my regular ones, they just may hold the cold off a bit longer.

I wear hiking boots a lot. Mostly for work, but also for almost any outdoor wear, except where more formal footwear is appropriate. Like when wearing a suit!These are good socks - nothing wrong with them at all. In fact, they have some nice features that I rather like. I like that the heal is very pronounced visually when you go to put them on. The heal is kind of like a "bullseye" - a patch right on the heal - so it's very easy to wear the socks in their correct position.They rise almost 11", from heal to top of sock, on me. That's just enough to clear the top of my hiking boots, with a little extra to spare. Of that near 11" of the rise of the sock, about half of that (the top half) is elastic. As a result, the sock really stays put on your leg.Whatever the "acrylic" mix actually is, the blend is very soft to the touch. Looking closely at an individual sock, it looks like two different kinds of fabric and two different blends of material. It's easy to see the different sections with different colour, but it's hard to determine if the sock is "one piece" or several, different pieces sewn together. I once saw a machine (or rather a whole bunch of them...) making socks. It looked like "Edward Scissor-Hands" working like mad! These socks could made either way. One the inside, you can see where it looks like two half are joined together, and the "ends" of the two fabrics were left loose. It's all a puzzle to me!Here is what I know. To me, personally, a hiking sock is thick for the cushion effect and to help with moisture. These are great socks, but not for serious hiking. At least for me. My foot moves around too much with these socks. And as much as wool drives me nuts, it is by far the best material know. It dries fast when wet, and that's what you need on the trail. Not what you want, but what you NEED.Bottom Line - A really nice set of socks. Tough wearing (to date) and I love the fact that you can wash them anyway you want. They are not light, thin, summer socks, but I don't consider them to be thick, warm hiking socks either. These socks are excellent for those of us who enjoy a warmer sock, not too thin or too thick, that is going to last. At the current price of $5 per sock, a great deal, too!

These are very thick and soft socks, definitely keeps my feet worm during the colder than normal winter.I don't particularly feel the different textures of the compression arch support though.Overall these socks are great, I would recommend them.
