These socks are great for cold weather. I don't ski or snowmobile, but live in a cold climate and we get plenty of snow. Therefore I move a lot of snow, shoveling and snowblowing. Staying warm is what makes winters bearable and these socks help a lot with that. I like that they are long (over my knees, I have short legs...) and they stay in place. I've worn them a few times and they stay up just fine. And they are certainly warm. It's so nice to have coverage above my boot in case my pant leg rides up and they are comfortable to wear. These socks are excellent! They come up to the knees on a 5'10 male. They are pretty warm. Depending on the boots, I wouldn't choose them for the most frigid days without an additional layer. They breathe well. They have some cushion and good support.The rest of this review only applies to people who generally feel the seams in their clothes: The seams are substantially less noticeable than in most socks. The socks are padded enough that the seam is barely noticeable from the inside. Feeling them with your fingers from the outside does not accurately represent how the seam feels when worn, due to the thickness of the inside of the sock. From the outside, the seam feels like there is a pokey corner at the pinky toe, but I don't actually feel it on my toes. I feel it may become more noticeable after a few wears and washes.
