I have a 40 gallon air compressor out in my garage and this valve is just to small for it. What I have done with it though mount it on my work table and I can hook shop air up to it and then regulate the air flow for air brushing pieces hopefully.

This very compact 1/4" filtration / regulator set is excellent. The 5 micron and 0.5 micron filters work great for removing pretty much everything from the air stream. Living in a humid region we have lots of moisture in the air and it causes a lot of moisture build-up in my hobby air tools. This set has really helped with getting rid of that moisture.The regulator is accurate enough for my needs and is easy to operate. Mounting the unit was simple with the built-in brackets.

This is kind of a mini filter to me because I'm used to seeing a full size filter and regulator, probably what they have in the 1/2 inch size. That being said it does a fine job of regulating the airflow and filters out the water and oil with a 5 micron filter if you are going to be painting.The quality of construction seems to be fine with the main block being made of metal. The brass filter element can be cleaned and reused. It is easy to mount with the two mounting tabs.Adjusting the air pressure is simple, just pull the regulator adjusting cover down and turn it in or out to get the pressure you want and push the cover back up.

When I first opened this, I was impressed by the build quality - from the flawless finish to the smooth operation of the regulator and drain bowls, everything was great. I have a smaller filter/regulator, and when using high volume air tools it was restricting the air flow and I was not getting full flow/pressure at the tool. This past weekend I had a chance to test out the flow on a buffer that would overdraw air when using my smaller filter and drop rpm. This filter allowed my buffer to keep running at full speed - and caught plenty of water in the line. This works well and is reasonably priced for the capacity.

Decent dryer and filter. The regulator reads the same as the other gauges on my air setup. I'm running this one just before my large blasting cabinet and it easily handles the air flow of the cabinet and is doing a great job of keeping moisture and stuff out of the sand so it's not clumping near as much.So this is good to go in my opinion.
