This was used as a door gasket on a coal stove. It appears to seal as well as the original gasket.

used it to re gasket the flu door in my wood stove. had to use a little bit of the gasket cement to hold in place but after about a month, its holding up and still making a great seal

Correct size and length. Seems to be thicker than the gasket that came out which made installation a little tough. However. It solved my air leak and multiple fires later it still looks as good as new

Used this product to re rope my Jotul C450 Kennebec which specifies 3/8 door gasketing in Jotul manual.Very pleased with result, door seal is as good as when Jotul was brand new. Would buy this product again.Measured to quantify "high density" advertised claim. Density was 17.8g/linear ft. and rope core was NOT hollow as is the product sold in big box stores.

I built my own wood stove and needed rope gasket for the door. This gasket is perfect for what I needed. The length was long enough to allow me to gasket the door as well as the ash pan. High quality fiberglass rope gasket. Would purchase again if needed.

Gave 5 stars because material is as advertised (fiberglass door gasket).Can’t review product beyond that because I purchased it for a different application than it was advertised.I purchased it for a smoker. I ordered wrong size. It was too thick. Could not return because I cut it.

My VC stove calls for 3/8 gasket, and I used 1/2" from my local hardware store last time and I remember the doors being hard to close. Well with this one; I could not close the doors even with the latch adjustment extended. If a thicker more solid gasket is what your stove need then this is the ticket. I had to rip this crapout and start over with the same ole stuff. At least the doors can latch closed again.

Great stove gasket. Needed it to replace the old gasket on our Buck 27000. Just a word of warning: It takes a while for this rope to compress down enough to make closing the door possible. Work with it and be patient.
