If you have balance issues, the handrail is a must. It is sturdy and easy to install. Everything needed to install it is in the package except a drill for the pilot holes. They even included the proper drill bit. I liked it enough that I ordered 2 more in different sizes. Another reviewer mentioned that the color fades sooner than expected. This seems to be true especially if you use the handrail frequently and it is exposed to the elements in an outdoor location. That in no way effects it’s overall value.

We have a strange setup in one of our interior staircases in a 100+ year old home. You sort of have to climb up out of it like you are coming out of the lower cabin of a boat for lack of a better explanation. I needed something to grab on to for that kind of leverage. This seemed like it would be perfect and it is. We installed it directly into wood and that handle isn't going anywhere anytime soon! I like that it is deep enough to grab at the ends or in the middle as we have it installed vertically to the facing of a doorway. Looks stylish and is very functional.

I bought this handrail for my basement stairs and it fit perfectly. Once on the wall it feels very sturdy and strong. I noticed that I’m able to get a good grip on the rail. It was easy to install, but wish there were better instructions since I didn’t know how high or low to put the railing. The hardware included is fine if you’re attaching the railing to a regular wall in your home, but I had to attach mine to the concrete foundation wall and it required a concrete bit. I bought the bit at a local hardware store.

We love it. The only thing I wish it was a bit lighter. For even antique brass, it's really dark. Otherwise we love it. It matches and flows with our colors and decor.

Edit: response from seller was good. Offered to send another flange. Product is solid at least.First comment:Will not function as stated. Only one of the 2 flanges has internal threads. Will have to either thread it or buy a new one. Poor quality control. Buy at your own risk. No option to contact seller as Amazon does not let me. Can either send the whole box back or not. No feedback portal at all.

Great handrail, only problem is I had to mount it in sunlight and it gets to hot to touch, have to figure out what to wrap it with. Other than that, I would buy it again.

The 3 spacer pipes were missing which was briefly irritating before realising it can be assembled just as well without them, making it stick out from the wall less, which is great in a narrow stairwell
