Edge Sealing Tape prevent edge lift by sealing the edges of wraps with 3M Edge Sealing Tape. Use 8914 for gloss wraps and window perf and 8520 for matte wraps.
Improve the quality of your wrap installations by sealing the edges with 3M edge sealing tape. Use 8914 edge sealing tape for gloss wraps and for window perf vinyl and 8520 for matte wraps. It helps seal and protect all edges of a wrap including wheel wells, the hood, trunk, and doors. Use 3M 8914 to seal your windshield banner along the bottom edge so the windshield wiper doesn't catch on the window perf vinyl. Because it's optically clear you won't see the tape, and you may extend the life of your wrap. Edge sealing tape also helps to prevent "fingers" on the edges of wraps that have been stretched.3M edge sealing tape is definitely a must have wrap tool.
It's easy to repair wrap damage when adhesive is gone using either 3M Super 77.

Worked well. Was cut very fine, and had some micro cuts that made the tape split every revolution. Had to go very slow to use with out splitting. Other than that it worked great

Minor cracking over some spots where it doesn't meet contact with the car. I used this to overlay a vynil wrap decal. It's held it down with ease and still holds under 32 degrees Fahrenheit. It's stretchin capacity helps alot for sharp curves.

Bought this to actually edge seal some SignGold pinstriping. The pinstripe is 1/2"; this product was advertised as 1/2" - so I figured I'd have to overlap in the middle to cover both edges. Imagine my surprise when the roll was closer to 3/4".. bonus that it was cut larger - it did exactly what I needed it to do in one shot. That said, the bologna slice was not clean at all - there were multiple places that the material had a ragged edge from the roll being cut too "hard", warping the material and having it skip in spots. Overall, I made it work.

This 1/2†wide tape is produced by cutting down the width of a wider roll of tape. Unfortunately the cut edge was NOT cut straight (see photo).I’ll be returning this BAD QUALITY, EXPENSIVE roll of tape as soon as I finish this review. After seeing what I received, the appropriate cost for the poor quality that I received should have been closer to $3 than $33, which is what I paid. My guess is that even if half of the buyers of this tape return it, the seller would probably still make money on the total sales of this time.I encourage that everyone else either DON’T BUY THIS ITEM or RETURN IT so that SELLERS LIKE THIS ONE STOP PASSING OFF POOR QUALITY ITEMS as NAME BRANDS such as 3M!

Works well enough ... can be used even as door edging ... a wee bit fickle on application - gotta use extra caution as it's fragile to apply - once applied - it's fine ...

We have a vinyl wrap shop and go thru a bit of this. I tried other brands to save some money but the rolls are only 10 ft long. You get what you pay for with this stuff.

It had a large slice into part of it, so every time you go around the roll there was a danger of catching or tearing, it made installation a pain.
