I used it as you would caulking to seal my Keel Guard edges to my motor boat. It's fabulous. It sets plyable really firm and seal water out from getting under the keel guard. I also used it to patch holes in the transom from an old transducer. Highly recommend, salt water tough.

If you need a guaranteed watertight seal, this is it. It is messy, difficult to work with, and hard to clean up, But it is worth it in the end. As a marine mechanic there are hundreds of boats along the west coast of Florida that iv'e put this on below the waterline. Most are commercial vessels that live in the water and are used in extreme condition, and as far as I know, they are all still floating. Ive put my faith in this to keep million dollar boats sealed, trust me it works. Note once it is on, it is on, it is VERY hard to get off. If it dries on your skin you are going to wear it for at least 3-5 days, don't ask how I know. Great stuff, worth it!

When it comes to maintaining the integrity of my boat, I don't settle for anything less than the best. That's why I turned to the 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 5200 (05220), and I'm delighted to share my experience with this exceptional product.First and foremost, this sealant lives up to its promise of creating a permanent bond. Whether it's sealing deck fittings, bonding hull seams, or securing hardware, the 3M 5200 forms a strong and durable connection that withstands the rigors of marine environments. I have complete confidence in its ability to keep my vessel watertight and secure, even in the most challenging conditions. The fast-curing formula is a game-changer, significantly reducing downtime and allowing me to get back on the water sooner. With its quick tack and rapid cure time, I can complete repairs and installations efficiently, without sacrificing quality or reliability. It's a time-saving solution that's essential for any boat owner.Durability is where this sealant truly shines. Designed to resist saltwater, weathering, and UV exposure, it maintains its integrity even after prolonged exposure to harsh marine conditions. I've seen firsthand how well it holds up against salt spray, pounding waves, and fluctuating temperatures, providing long-lasting protection and peace of mind.Application is straightforward, thanks to the easy-to-use syringe packaging and smooth consistency of the sealant. Whether I'm applying it to vertical surfaces or overhead, it spreads evenly and adheres well, ensuring a secure seal without drips or mess. Cleanup is a breeze, too, with soap and water easily removing any excess sealant before it cures.Versatility is another notable feature of the 3M 5200. In addition to its bonding and sealing capabilities, it can also be used for bedding and potting applications, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of marine projects. In conclusion, the 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 5200 (05220) is a reliable and effective choice for boat owners seeking a permanent bonding and sealing solution. With its fast cure time, exceptional durability, ease of application, and versatility, it's an essential addition to any marine maintenance kit. I highly recommend this sealant to fellow boating enthusiasts who demand nothing but the best for their vessels.

I've used this 3M Fast Cure 5200 for all sorts of purposes over the years, primarily on my boat. Whenever I drill a hole or put a screw into the boat's hull or transom, this stuff is going on the screw threads or in the hole to seal it from water permanently. I've patched holes up to 1/2 inch in diameter using just 3M 5200 and I've never had a drop of water get in through that hole afterward. It's pretty amazing stuff. I've also used this stuff to adhere loose trim to fiberglass inside my boat, it works well and bonds stronger than most glues on the market. The only downside to 3M Fast Cure 5200 is that it's messy and not very reusable. Even the small tubes are expensive. When you cap after using, make sure you find a way to use the rest of this sealant in the not-too-distant future as the cap will become difficult to remove, and the sealant will harden up near the cap. 3M 5200 sticks to just about every type of material on the planet and is impenetrable to water. For boats, 3M 5200 is a must-have, use it to quickly patch up holes and cracks, it'll keep your boat afloat without any leaks whatsoever.

This stuff makes a seal that will last for years on most materials, but it does not stick well to some plastics. It does stick to others, and metals, and fiberglass & wood. It sets up as hard as a car tire. It's a bit of a mess to work with and it can be hard to clean up. Once the tube is open, & air gets to it, the remaining material will set up inside the tube & it will not be usable anymore. even if you stick a plug in the hole at the end of the tube. That's why I buy it in small tubes. The white version will turn a little yellow if it is left in direct sunlight for a long time.

A Great sealant worth the money. Use if a more rigid sealant is desired. I have used and never had any leaks with this product or loose fixtures. Full cure time is a bit long at 3 days but very strong when fully cured.

I used this to strengthen my engine mounts as they were getting old and the engine visibly tilted. The mechanic said it was "normal" but the engine tilted a good 3-4inches when in gear and engine revved, so instead of painfully replacing the mounts I filled them with this sealant. Was an absolute pain in the ass to squeeze out this sealant, its very thick, but I managed to fill the two primary torque mounts fully. I had the car in my garage with a humidifier running and all of sealant cured within a week (about 1.5in from surface to innermost area). The sealant has remained in the mount for a couple months now and survived the heat of the summer and engine bay. It does seem to have slightly separated from the rubber itself, but that was expected due to the nature of the rubber. The sealant itself remains like a filler block and works like a charm, engine barely tilts half an inch now. I know this was an unorthodox application for this product but it works as I needed it to.

I use this adhesive to fix a transducer pad onto the transom of my boat so I don't have to drill holes through my transom. Extremely strong waterproof and it allows me to screw my transom. Bracket too. The transom pad, which is glued to the transom hall, works great
