Fitting Instructions for 3M PELTOR X Series Ear Muffs

Position the earcups over your ears so the cushions fully enclose the ears and seal tightly against the head.

Adjust the height of each earcup while holding the headband down until you have a tight and comfortable fit that exerts even pressure around the ears.

Its very loud where I work so they require us to wear ear protection and I'm not the biggest fan of earplugs. So I shopped around and pulled the trigger on these bad boys. They are comfortable enough to wear for 10 hour shifts without pain or discomfort, they block out the perfect amount of sound and they're the perfect size. Deep enough to comfortably wear earbuds underneath, without being overly bulky and silly looking. If I ever tear these up I will definitely be purchasing another pair.

These are excellent at noise reduction. I bought these after buying the 3M version one step lower (green ones) which were great, these are even quieter. Only downside is these feel a bit tight on the head compared to the others. I would buy these for maximum quiet, but the 3M green ones for overall comfort, good noise blocking and comfort.

Does what it says it does, but is a bit uncomfortable to wear. Wish the pads were a bit softer to the touch. They are quite hard. But simple design, materials used will stand the test of time, and helps with the noise of a woodworking garage.

I have not used them for anything louder than mowing. These are quite comfortable and fit over my larger than normal ears...

I have tried several different sets of hearing protection over the years and these work great. I came in from outside the house the other day with these on, my wife was talking and I did not hear her. Outside these hearing protectors completely muffle the tractor or walk behind lawn mower just fine.

They are comfortable for long period usage and they do a very good job at noise reduction from palm sander and shop vac

it pains me to say that its worth it, purely because of Indian mentality. Never understood why we have to create unnecessary noise pollution for everything. I have slums around where i live who are willing to spent lakhs of money on festivals, birthday party, weddings but not on sanitary, clean toilets for each apartment and so on.Nonetheless, if you cant afford noise cancellation windows these babies are a blessing. Note that they will not block noise completely. no manufacturer will make them for safety reasons.Good:- reduces overall noise pollution by 24db.- the ear cups are large and deep enough for big ears to provide comfort.- the headset mechanism is sturdy enough to last long- way better than those dummy Rs. 300-400 3M headset.Bad:- just 24db, meaning you are still exposed to unnecessary noise. if you can afford it i suggest go for Optime 105 or X5A. it has the max db reduction in the market.- the packaging was is poor state though product is fine. it was clear that i was dispatched an old stock as the box had creases on all sides.

I have a small wood shop and bought these for when I run my planer, jointer and anything else that may require hearing protection. These are great the reduce the sound by about 85% and are actually really comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that needs good hearing protection and noise reduction. Thanks again.
