I use these in a respirator for spraying paint, stains, and clear finishes in my workshop. The first time I used this respirator I was astounded when I took it off and smelled the VOC vapor in the air. While I was wearing it I could not detect any vapor. The same is true for water soluble paint. Generally, I prefer to spray outside, but in the winter or on windy days I use a homemade paint booth in the basement. It has a filtered fan to collect the overspray and it works well, but the vapors are not removed. I never spray long enough to make the atmosphere toxic and the respirator does a great job of cleaning the air I breath.

I do work on a pen turning lathe as a hobby. This involves turning acrylics and other resin based plastics. I also turn all different types of wood, including walnut, and typically finish out a wood turning with a CA (superglue) finish. The throw-away dust masks that I used to use were not doing the job. These do the job in spades! You know that the mask is effective when the first indication of the CA fumes is when your eyes start stinging. As far as replacement? I have used mine for an average of six hours a week for two months. It's still easy for me to breathe while in the mask and as yet no fume or dust leaks. I do intend to have a spare set handy for when that day comes.

essential organic filter for NION-PARTICULATE (i.e. not sawdust, concrete dust, sand etc) filtration including solvents commonly found in paints, pesticides, sealers, concrete mixes etc. Can be paired with a particulate filter i.e. p45 for combined particulate and organic chem filtration.check the expiry date, do not use if opened, buy from sellers with 100% feedback. Once open, store filters in sealed bag to avoid contaminating filter material with everyday smells which will make it useless sooner than it should be.

I like these, am using them if you can believe it when people are doing laundry as the fragrances coming out of the laundry dryer exhausts are so strong they fill my apartment if I have even one window open next door!These work perfectly so I can be outdoors on laundry day or indoors if it is too hot to close windows. The fragrances are undetectable when I wear these with a 3m respirator mask.I did not give them 5 stars, only 4 as they don't last very long, there is no indicator when they are needing to be changed except it gets hard to breathe, and it is unclear how often to change them, other than if the smell becomes detectable but they can get more difficult to breathe through the longer you wear them and you do have to store them carefully in a zip lock bag when not in use.Estimates to change them range from 8 to 24 hours, I get about 16-18 hours of comfortable use out of one set of filters.However, compared to the laundry products and scented candles and such for a fragrance sensitive person this is about the only way we can live in densely populated communities, they are like carrying an air purifier with you!

I gave 5 stars bc I have used this product for a long time and it has worked well. My complaint is about the sellers. I bought these filters back in October 2020. I kept them in the original packaging until yesterday (June 2021) to preserve their shelf life as suggested by 3M. When I did open them I realized they had expired 1 month before I purchased them! I would not buy from this company unless you plan to use the filters immediately and can therefore check the expiration date and return them if needed.

These cartridges are fantastic at filtering and even removing odors from vapors. I bought them to do a deep clean on a house we just bought (lots of heavy chemicals as the house was filthy). Before I had them I was getting lightheaded and overwhelmed by the smells and fumes. Once I got this cartridge I was able to work comfortably all day without any impact from the fumes. I have since used them while painting as well. Probably should get the plastic covers on them if you're doing a lot of paint.

These are the most amazing cartridges in the world because instead of getting brain damage from epoxy paint fumes, I don't get brain damage from epoxy paint fumes.

While applying stain and polyurethane to my project I could wear this mask and couldn't smell a thing. The filters clearly work really well and I didn't have any trouble breathing (unlike the particle filters). Strongly recommend these if you're working with any noxious fumes.

No hay mucho que decir respecto a estos filtros, cumplen su función, la marca es buena y está certificada. Lo único malo es que no tienen un estuche o algo para guardarlos y evitar que se ensucien.

What you would expect from 3M. Perfect item. I have the N95 filters that fit over the top for added protection against 95% or organic vapors.

Un tema siempre delicado en cartuchos es cuanta vida tienen. Ya existe la nueva linea de cartuchos con indicador de vida util. Sin embargo, este lo compré sin saber de ello.Lo estuve utilizando con un pesticida y filtró por 13 horas. Dicen los fabricantes de filtros que ya cuando entra el olor del quÃmico es que ya dejo evidentemente de funcionar( (y de hecho antes de que se detecta el olor es que ya no son efectivos). Pero este filtro soportó 13 horas el pesticida sin dejar de pasar el olor; tampoco se presentaron los sÃntomas que aparecen al inalar el pesticida.Funcionó efectivamente por ese periodo sin problemas; tampoco se saturó o tapó.Sin embargo, no lo usarÃa más y debe ser reemplazado.
