Completely useless. Called 3M and they told me using it on an electric drill would never work (although I also purchased the attachment they make for an ELECTRIC DRILL) and I would need some other piece of expensive equipment to attach it to in order for it to spin fast enough to be useful in a sanding project. Certainly they were uninterested in refunding my payment. Soooo...skip this and gear up for hand sanding.

I do support the accuracy of the other reviews because the pictured product is not what you get. It came as only five little yellow disks and no mandrel. However, I read the the reviews and understood what I was getting and not getting. I was refinishing a door with 21 raised panels on each side and this saved me tons of hand sanding. This grit is for final sanding prior finishing and worked well for me. I endorse this product but as pictured would have been a BIG disappointment. Recommend adding captions or changing the picture to clarify what you are buying.

The product in the picture is not an accurate representation of what was sent. What you get is 5 single layers of what is pictured and no arbor. You would have to buy at least 5 to 7 packages of what they are selling to get what is pictured, with NO arbor included. Very deceptive.

It's pretty clear to me that anyone who leaves a 1 star review doesn't know what they're doing. These are great. They're for finish sanding. It's not a 1 step process. Also, yes it comes in a 5 pack but you have to use all of them at the same time. You can't just put 1 little bristle on there and expect it to work. Use low RPM and glide the ends of the bristles on your work. It leaves a magical finish, especially on softer alloys like bronze, copper, silver, etc.

I like that it worked for removing the finish off an antique buffet in the detail area that sand paper cannnot reach. However, it only lasted for about 2" x 24" stretch of details and then it wore out. I have a beautiful buffet that has a ton of detailed carving in which you cannot get any sanding tools into in order to remove the finish. I am using stripping chemical but it is very time consuming. These 3M radial discs are great for a one time usage on a small area, but not economical for a large project. I'd need at least 5 more packages of 5 which would be way too costly. Back to the stripper and tiny pointed scewers I go.... Thanks but no thanks until the patent is over on these over priced 3M radial discs.

Trying to use these to remove stain in cracks and crevices on my coffee table so that I can refinish it. I put 3 of the 5 disks on my drill. This is a normal living room table and I only want to use this product to sand the areas where a sanding block cannot reach. Using them on a cordless Dewalt drill in either direction has no visible affect on the wood. 80 grit sanding paper has taken all of the stain off the flat areas of this table (down to the bare wood) but this product barely made any scratches
