These can't be beat! Use them for cleaning up engine silicone gaskets without shaving off the metal like sand discs usually do. I also love the price on Amazon, local they want about $18 each which was just crazy to me. They last a pretty good amount of time. Which would make even the $18 price tag worth it, but I am glad Amazon has them better priced. I recommend for shop/mechanic use.

Prior to staining, I used this to clean up some reclaimed lumber. It cleans and smooths without removing the saw marks. After a light sanding with 150 grit sandpaper the wood took stain and satin polyethylene beautifully.

I got the green one which is for iron surface finishing or body work, my words as well as other Techs. White is finer grit (under 200 though) and better for aluminum surfaces. Let me caution you that no matter how safe Techs like myself want to say these are, they sort of aren't in some situations. Polishing a block's cylinder head surface and getting some down debris that you may not be able to see down in the engine...not ok. Some people line things with oil and paper or q tips as I do to plug passages and holes. etc. Water jackets not a huge deal, if you are going to flush it and use an compressed air to clean away debris...yet not perfectly clean inside engine. Many techs will NOT use these on blocks surface. I do. You sort of have to decide for yourself the risk and proper preparation to actually use it on a block. Other places I don't even prep I just buzz (lightly) off the material and enjoy the long lasting bristle disk for about 3 heads or various jobs. I can use the worn down flat part in the end later for rust on the frame or body. So I feel I get good use here, but it is costly. definitely better than 3m roloc fiber disk. Longer life, less hassle.

I used this to strip some 30-year-old, very had gasket material off of a piece of aluminum. I chucked it up in my drill press and at first the RPM was around 1200 and it was painfully slow. Kicked it up to 3100 RPM and it was GREAT! Care must be taken with the Green version on aluminum so as to not damage it, I believe the White grit is preferred for aluminum so I tried this on an old piece part. I'll use the white for critical parts, especially if I ever use it at the rated RPM.

Kudos to 3M for these bristle discs. They take off rust and paint like there's no tomorrow, and they do it with ease. Just set it on the part and set it spinning. No weight necessary. It just strips like a pro. Glad Ibought one, and will get some more grits and/or sizes soon.

Quita el oxido como si fuera polvo lo malo es que el precio vs cantidad de producto no es muy equivalente un pack de 2 o 3 estarÃa mejor
