Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Brush, using our proprietary ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide and molded, flexible bristles, provides more surface contact than wire brushes and maintains abrasive property throughout the life of the brush. Our brush removes paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants.

I have used this particular 3M product in every grade from course to fine for more than 15 years. I have not found any product to replace it. You can make an impression on the hardest steel but not tear the skin of your bare hand. This product has countless uses in grinding, polishing, rust and pain removal. The uses are limited only by your imagination and skill.

These are hard to find so don't go looking for something better this is it. Be all end all. 160-400 now the best part is they are a team, I assume the other grit sizes work similarly so therefore I am collecting them all.

Hey, fellow wood workers! I really like polishing my old tools on the lathe using this 400 grit wheel. It "gently" cleans the rust a way, unlike a wire wheel which usually ends up scratching the tool's finish. Install the wheel on a Morse taper spindle and place it in the headstock. I run the speed right around 1,000 rpm. One thing, don't be in a hurry because this bristle brush removes particles slower than a wire wheel. But man, it leaves the metal with a soft feeling finish when you're done. These should be called "Baby Bottom" bristle wheels. Not a 5-star because the price is a little high.
