I’ve been raising exclusively monarch butterflies in similar enclosures in my home on Long Island NY during the last 4 migration seasons, (releasing over 2700 healthy monarchs from August-October of 2020) so I have made a lot of experiences having tried about 8-9 models from different companies with various features, shapes, and sizes. What I liked about this product and why:1. I was surprised that the product came with a full color instructional booklet because it’s the first time I’ve ever gotten one with a butterfly enclosure! It has very helpful info on raising monarchs and swallowtails for novices that I wish I would have had when I was starting out.2. I appreciated that the 2 zippers allow opening/closing in 2 directions (the flexibility comes in very handy when releasing or tagging multitudes of over 20 butterflies at a time) and all the enclosures I’ve seen so far at this price point have had only one.3. The size is optimal... I use recycled soft drink containers with lids to keep the milkweed upright and consistently fresh (like fresh cut flowers in water), and to keep the caterpillars from drowning in the water due to the lid acting as a barrier (the spot for the straw is where the milkweed goes into the water). This arrangement offers the monarch caterpillars a more hygienic environment that better simulates nature where they can (for the most part) avoid walking in their frass/poop. The shorter and/or wider models are too short to accommodate the large stems of common milkweed in a softdrink container. The taller models don’t fit upright in the back seat of my smallish car (Toyota Yaris) without me having to bend the wire frame slightly which could be a butterfly crushing hazard.4. Some habitats have a floor that’s a thicker nylon rather than mesh, but I like this product with the mesh bottom better because it air-dries faster after I wash it (by soaking in the tub w a highly diluted bleach solution).5. The mesh size is perfect because it consistently keeps predators out and keeps aphids inside (and/or an accidentally hatched tachinid larva or fly) from escaping and getting into my houseplants.6. The see through windows are clear (great for classrooms) and handles are sturdy.7. GREAT PRICE! This RestCloud 3-pack deal is the best value for the money that I’ve seen so far. Since it is best to keep different ages/sizes of monarch butterflies separate (so that the tiny newborns don’t get lost in frass or accidentally eaten by the larger caterpillars), AND since it’s of paramount importance to keep eclosing/hatching monarch butterflies separate from growing caterpillars to prevent the disease called O.E., a 3-pack is ideal for maximizing healthy conditions for growing monarch caterpillars.I would definitely order from this seller again if/when I need more enclosures and would refer anyone who asks for a product recommendation to this seller. Two thumbs up!

Made in China & sold exclusively on Amazon - per their packaging. If you're OK with that, they're good. This is NOT a toy even though Amazon may classify it as such. They work well. The carry handles are long enough to be useful. Some other brands are not. The two direction zippers are good as sometimes a caterpillar is on the zipper - so you can go the other direction.

3-Pack Butterfly Enclosure helped us release over 100 Monarch butterflies!!We started off with 12 caterpillars end of July. We used these enclosures for the different phases from the egg to the caterpillar to the chrysalis to the butterflies! The enclosure blends into the garden with the white crisp looking mesh & green trim. Because of the light colored mesh netting sides top & bottom the natural lighting and the air was able to flow through the sanctuary without cooking or overheating the process. The white mesh helped the colors of the caterpillars & the chrysalis stand out brilliantly when it came to taking pictures & video. The viewing side of the cube is genius when you're showing off your sanctuary. You can even take pictures on that clear side and the pictures come out clearly as if you're inside the sanctuary! The caterpillars utilized the top of the enclosure to transform into chrysalis stage. The height was perfect because even when we were moving plants in & out, there was plenty of room to not disturb the many butterfly chrysalis on the top. The very practical feature was the double zipper which we utilized daily. The double zipper gave us plenty of opening to move the milkweed plants in and out. The enclosure fit 4 1-gallon milkweed pots easily. Those caterpillars are munchers so we were in and out every day! The zippers were nice because when the butterfly was ready to fly away, we could leave part of the flap opening for them to come out. The zippers also provided plenty of maneuverability when taking pictures or video inside the pop-up sanctuary.Make sure you have plenty of pollinator plants for the butterflies to land on to dry their wings after coming out of the chrysalis. We had milkweed in the garden as well so when the butterflies came back, they would lay eggs on the underside of the milkweed leaf. That's how we got 3 generations this season. Then we'd move the tiny caterpillars inside the enclosure. When the last butterfly flies away, probably end of October, it will be easy to clean & spray down the enclosure, fold it up and store it for next season. I highly recommend the pop-up butterfly enclosure. We thought the 3-pack was too much, but for our veteran season it worked out great because we ended up using 2 and gifted 1 to our milkweed supplier who she herself utilized a total of 3 enclosures!!

Love the size of this cage. I can easily fit at least 2 plants in it. The zippers work great. The poo platters are easy to clean. Both items fold up nicely when not in use. Sometimes I use the platters just for plants in lieu of the bulky plastic ones that come with some planting pots! Love the clear viewing window, especially when children are around. Have purchased multiple times and satisfied with every one.

The 3 pack is a great deal and we used them in combination with a large cage to rotate plants as the caterpillars grew. We used the large cage for ones that were ready to form chrysalis’s so they would have plenty of room when they emerged to fly around for a day before we released them. These net cages are easy to clean with a hose. Note these small cages do not have a nylon bottom like the large one so we put a piece of cardboard in the bottom to help with clean up. All in all they worked great, the zipper works well and we were happy with our purchase!

If you raise butterflies, this is a good deal. Cages are pretty nice. My only concern is I wish the netting was more taut on top for the caterpillars. They appreciate a netting that isn't wrinkled and loose on top.

Raised lots of monarchs in these enclosures. Easy to clean. Zippers work smoothly. Easy to store for the winter.
