I got these to add to my emergency roadside kits, just in case. They are extremely lightwieght and can be easily heard at a distance. They would be perfect for camping, hiking, biking or any activity where you might need to call out at a distance. A great nice-to-have.

These whistles are great for outdoor activities and emergencies. They come in really bright colors like red, orange, and blue, which makes them easy to spot if you drop them or need to get someone’s attention. The double tubes make the sound super loud, so people can hear you from far away. I love the adjustable lanyard with reflective stitching because it’s perfect for nighttime use, and you can adjust it to the right length or clip it onto your bag or clothes. The whistles are made of sturdy plastic, so they’ll last a long time, and they’re waterproof too. Perfect for camping, hiking, or just having on hand for safety. That all being said, I'm caring for someone who is at risk for falls and/or disorientation. Our bedrooms are far enough apart that I wouldn't likely hear him call out while I'm sleeping. First of all, the adjustable reflective lanyard is not only practical but also makes me feel like a secret agent. I mean, who knew a whistle could make you feel so cool, right?But wait, it gets better. The whistle itself is loud - like, really loud. I tested it out in my backyard and my neighbor from three houses down came over to see if everything was okay. I couldn't stop laughing because this little thing has some serious power!Plus, the bright color makes it easy to find in my bag, and the fact that it's made from durable materials gives me the confidence that it will last a long time. Overall, this emergency whistle is a must-have for anyone who loves to have a good time and stay safe. Trust me, you won't regret getting one!

It's always important for everyone to carry an emergency whistle whether over land or water so a three pack helps make sure you can attach one every where you might need. This single pack gave me one for my lifejacket, daypack and overnight backpack so I don't have to worry about moving it or not having it if i ever need it. The simple welded plastic design makes them durable and provides a secure hole for the lanyard so there is no worry of the whistle breaking or getting lost. The lanyard itself is similar to paracord though much thinner, more than strong enough for it's use and easy enough to cut if you tie it on near your shoulder so you don't need as long of reach like I did with my Lifejacket. The whistle is only as loud as how hard you can blow so it's a good idea to check kids can/will blow hard enough before any hikes but the distinct sound will guide you right to them if they get separated or hurt.

I got these for our kids (scouts) to bring on a campout and they are perfect. I tethered them to their packs for easy access and are LOUD with very little effort. We thought we lost one during the campout, but the bright red with orange lanyard really stood out and we were able to find it quickly.

The set includes three plastic whistles in three colors on orange cords, so enough to share. I ordered these because I plan a hike where I know brown bears can be on the trail. But now that I have these, I plan to use one to scare away the fox who seems to think it's okay to hang out in my backyard--in a big city! I'm also thinking this is better than a keyring "siren" that is harder to get at and takes longer to sound. The cord is adjustable in length, to slide over your head, and could work fine for a child because it can be made shorter. Nice set.

Nice and loud, good price but the lanyard has very little reflectivity.
