These whistles are great to keep on your key chain for an emergency or wear around your neck. they are very light weight so they will not hurt the cars ignition weighs less than another key. I used these for training my dog and was surprised how far the sound carries for the size. especially in open fields. People who hunt know what I am talking about. This whistle is made of aluminum not plastic, so it has lasted much longer than the other ones I have had. I have also used the ring and attached a whistle to my coat. I have also given my kids each a whistle so they could put it on their key rings or coats for safety. Yes they are really that loud. It will get people to notice unless they can not hear.

I actually bought these to use as "Santa whistles". I wanted whistles that didn't have peas in them. They are very small so still need parents to supervise! However they are a pretty color and come on a key chain ring. They are surprisingly loud for their size. My daughter and I do plan on keeping one on our keys as an emergency whistle. The fact that they are small so they wont weight my keys down is an added plus. Being red makes it easy to spot and grab in a hurry as well. Hope this review helps....

They do feel cheap, but that's because they are. They are super light weight, nice colors, and they are loud. You do have to blow in them hard though, can't just lighly blow. All in all, super happy for what I got at the price I got it.

These arrived today. I wanted to love them, but 10 of them don't work. They don't make an actual whistle sound, so would not actually alert anyone if a person tried to use it to get attention. That leaves me with fewer than I actually needed. I cannot return the entire lot because the same thing would probably happen in the next package. I would love it if they would replace the defective batch of 10, but probably will not. Just wish I could trouble shoot them and figure out why they don't work.

I am a cub Scout leader and I needed whistles for the Cubs as part of there 6 essentials for hiking. Whistles are not readily available, or at least not at a value, in local retail stores. These fit the bill perfectly. They are loud enough, small and light weight. Once these are all given away I will be back for more.

I love having these in so many colors! I have 3 lanyards for work and they each have a matching whistle! I like how small they are, and very lightweight! They're also good and loud!
