Small and solid. Nice color. It has a fairly high tone. I don't know if I would be able to blow this as hard as I can with my weakened body in the event of a disaster, but I think it would be much easier than shouting. I live in Japan, where there are many disasters, so I think this is a must-have item. There are cheap ones on the market, but they are meant to last a long time, so the cooler the better.

Very nice colors and lightweight. The cord that comes with it is adjustable--took me time to figure that out. You have to pull one one of the cords to extend it. Not that comfortable though. Which took of one point of the ranking.The whistle is ~4 cm length. It's fine for my needs.

Nice size, texture helps hold it and fits good in my mouth.The sound is a good tone and is very loud, traveling over water about a mile.The band that comes with it is nice. It's adjustable and fits over my big head.Overall I'm very happy and will probably have this whistle for the rest of my life

I don't know if I'd trust it for a life or death situation, but it works. I'm already looking at other brands to purchase another type. The 'band' that comes with this is like thread thin and I worry that wearing it, it would dig into my skin rather than be something comfortable to wear. I was not impressed at all with that part of it. And I did blow this, and I guess it's 'loud'. I closed the door to the one room of our home and blew it, and my roommate said they barely heard it in a nearby open door room which was less than 15 feet away. In a pinch I'd say it's better than nothing, but I also do want to find something more reliable and comfortable.

My son asked me to get him a loud whistle he can use in the fields when he's training his dog. He said this whistle works perfectly, he can hear the whistle no matter how far away from him he is and makes his way back to him. He is very happy with it.
