These are perfect for removing upholstery staples and saves your hands and wrists. The yellow handle one is the most helpful. The blue handle one is also very handy. The red handle one would be good for larger staples. Haven't needed it yet. But you can't beat the price. They are still a good quality product despite not being name brand. Great for any diy projects you have.

Had about 200 staples after pulling up carpeting on a red oak wood floor. Ordered the kit which was coming the next day, but got antsy and started pulling them out with a lineman’s pliers and metal elevator when the staple was tight against the floor. Worked, but time consuming and hard on the wrist and caused a blister. Was about half-way done, and then the Amazon package arrived. What a difference. Took about 25% of the time to finish the job and it took no effort. It cause no marks on my wood floor. There were comments that the appliance was not that durable, but it held up well in my limited experience. Wish I would have had it from the start. As my Dad use to always tell me, you usually look good at the job, when you have the correct tool!

I purchased these tools to remove carpet staples from the subfloor. I only needed the yellow tool which worked great. Didn't need the other two tools at all.

After thirty years, my girlfriend finally agreed it was time to replace the living room carpet. Since we opted to go with wood flooring instead of new carpet, we set about the task of taking out the old carpet ourselves. After the first day, we realized how overmatched we were -- there were countless tacks, and spiky-boards, and staples. I ordered the tool set and it was delivered promptly. Golly, it was so much easier cleaning it up after we would cut away another section of carpet. And the tools were cost effective as well. And after we are all done, I still have two of the three tools -- we are assuming we accidently rolled one into the last piece of carpeting we removed, because we can't find it now. Definitely will buy the set again if we need them

The last time I repaired my vinyl covered seat to my chair, I used a flat screwdriver and it was a hard laborious task leaving me with sore hands and wishing to never do this again. I had no idea, they had a tool for removing these staples. This tool made such a difference that now I don't mind repairing the chairs anymore.

The tools are not that great. I needed to buy a different set to complete my project

The only thing that worked for me is the yellow handle remover. The other two are too thick. It all depends what you need the tools for. For dining chair upholstery need, the staple is small and they dug dip into the wood, the other two tools didn’t work.

At first it was a challenge to completely understand how to use these tools but once I got the hang of it - I restored my old computer - saved on buying a new one - cause can't find unlike that now anyway. At least not for the price I paid.

I used the staple remover on 4 chair cushions. Probably pulled out hundreds of staples. This staple remover held up and made the process much easier! Still requires a little effort to dig into those stubborn staples though. I also recommend pliers to grab and remove the staple after you've lifted them up with the staple remover.

I had some carpet to remove on my stairs, and these made it less annoying to do. No problems!

if you are a professional upholster dont buy this because the tip is not sharp and its wide.. i lost my yellow-handle tack lifter hoping this is a good replacement but its not even close, the yellow handle is much much faster maybe 3x in lifting staples.. you cant do piece work with this crap
