I got these as a sort of gift supplement -- my partner got me ballet tickets for my birthday, and I got him tickets to the Nutcracker as part of his Christmas gift, knowing that ballet is more my thing than his (don't worry, I also got him something that's right up his alley!). I thought the opera glasses would be a fun way to package the tickets (and might help compensate for the fact that I couldn't afford the nicest seats). These were the right price, and looked pretty enough in the picture that I thought maybe they'd even be something we wouldn't mind having around (anyone else hate storing crap?).These arrived quickly, in a sturdy and undamaged box. They have a lovely pouch (leather style, though I assume it's not real leather it's nice enough that it doesn't feel cheap either) and a good strong weight to them. I won't worry about putting them in my bag, and I expect that even if accidentally sat on they would be fine as long as they weren't opened at an angle that put pressure in a place that would break on even the nicest item. The visual is very good -- perhaps not as clear as one would get from the highest tier equivalent, but certainly nicer than I expected at this price point. Do bear in mind that if you wear glasses, that will always pose a potential complication for additional visual assistance devices. That said, I wear glasses and was able to find an angle with them.I'll try to update after actually using these at the ballet, but I wanted to get something posted for anyone who may be looking at these in preparation for The Nutcracker or similar seasonal events! These were so much better than I expected. They come in a leather-looking draw-string bag. The glasses have a telescoping handle. My daughter (whom they were purchased for) is left-handed. We were pleased to find that the handle can flip 180 degrees. I personally would not recommend that, because the glasses do not bend so that they can be adjusted to fit to the eyes when flipped over but for her that was a big plus even if she can only use one eye (I guess it is a big deal for a lefty). The construction appears sturdy and they are quite attractive. They are fully adjustable as any binoculars would be, but definitely dressed up for a night at the theater.

I could see detailed faces from my balcony seat. They look nice with exception of the gaudy gold color of the chain. It was useful to just hang the glasses around my neck though that's for sure.

Worked great for our seats but we weren’t too far. They are not real powerful so if you are in nose bleed seats don’t bother, lol. But they were nice looking, handle was great use. I’ll get good use at the theater with them 😊

Optics are pretty clear--better than most. I like that the right eyepiece can be separately focused. Just be sure to keep all the screws tight--they are nice looking but kinda cheezy. The gold chain had to go.Lower power glasses like these (4X) are better for watching a stage production (opera or ballet) than my excellent 8X glasses.

I purchased this for my 11 year old for her first ballet. View was clear, easy adjustments, loved the adjustable handle.

Very fashionable. My friends and I went to the ballet and these got passed around our group during the performance. We were in Orchestra back and were able to see individual dancers clearly; not able to see the whole stage at once. Very easy to alter the focus with dial. The telescope handle was not intuitive - you have to twist, extend, and then twist again to lock in place. Also, you will have to flip the eyepiece part 180 degrees so that the "nose piece" part is pointy like a mountain peak. You probably already know that though, but I'm a little ignorant given this is my first pair of binoculars.

Abgesehen davon, dass der Artikel gegen Stöße ungeschützt in einer einfachen Tüten-Verpackung geliefert wurde, kam das Opernglas zum Teil in Einzelteilen an. Die Linsen waren ölverschmiert und mussten erst gereinigt werden. Die Kunststoffgewinde, mit denen die Einzelkomponenten des Opernglases zusammengehalten werden, lösen sich und sitzen nicht richtig. Zusammengefasst: FINGER WEG! Billigprodukt.
