Newton's laws of motion tell us that an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. You can demonstrate that with my manco-manufactured go cart, which doesn't stop even when you stomp on the brake pedal.The brake is a simple drum with a band that tightens around it to slow the go cart down and stop it. The Buhnss kit is a replacement that fits perfectly, and includes all the parts that are likely to have worn: The drum, brake band, and operating cable are included.Installation is easy and it works much better than the parts I replaced.

Well made, easy to install. I mounted it to the chain sprocket with some half inch spacers. Holes lined up perfectly with the #40 60T sprocket I'm using. Cable was just the length I needed. I used every millimeter of it. It would be plenty long enough for a typical go kart build, but I'm building a Smith Flyer with a longer wheel base. The drum brake is well built and nicely painted. No dings or scratches. It came well packaged in bubble wrap in a study box. Cable and other parts wrapped separately. Works great too. Stops the kart. Glad I chose a drum brake over disc brake. Feel more confident with the drum brake. More surface area to stop the kart. Braking feels smooth, not grabby.

I ordered this brake kit cause the listing said it came with a 60" cable. It did not. I returned and requested a replacement for said reason, and the replacement did NOT come with one either.

I'm restoring an old yerf dog go kart and wanted to put some new brakes on it. This one said it was for yerf dog so I got it. Perfect match to the factory one. No fussing or fighting with it. Just went right on and now with a new band I've got new brakes on the gokart.

I ordered this for my single seat kart and it works great. Bolts right to my adapter without issue. Looks and feels solid and works well now that I've installed it.I know someone else had an issue with a missing cable but when I looked the description doesn't mention the cable. Later on in the "What's in the box" section it lists the brake cable but in the description and pictures that are on there now there is no cable shown or mentioned. I can verify there is no cable included. I didn't think one was but I can see why there was confusion.
