This aluminum angle is 1/8" thick, 48" long and 2" on both L's. It is also anodized with a clear coating. The piece I received is perfect in every regard -- no scratches or blemishes, no burrs, ends are square, and it's exactly what I'd hoped for. It was shipped in a properly sized box with paper filler to prevent any damage. The factory that made this should be proud.Anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. This aluminum oxide is not applied to the surface like paint or plating, but is fully integrated with the underlying aluminum substrate, so it cannot chip or peel.

The aluminum angle is actually quite nice looking. It is totally free of any damage, blemish, or stain, perfectly cut and appears to be quite strong. It was packaged with considerably more care than most of the fragile items I have ordered. A completely satisfactory purchase in every aspect..
