Great knife rest. Saves your placemat or table cloth from getting stained because someone cut their food and put their dirty knife down on the placemat or table cloth. Cute and great for other utensils too. This was something that was used many years ago. Good quality.

These work as intended but I suspect they were made on the same factory line as the versions advertised to be zinc alloy. The specific gravity of these is 7.04 which is about right for a zinc casting alloy, not the 7.7 to 7.9 you would expect from real stainless steels. Since I chose these "Stainless Steel" versions over the zinc versions I am somewhat annoyed at the misrepresentation.
