- Don't use watercolors, use acrylic paints
- Do not use water to mix acrylic paints, use acrylic paint mixer to prevent cracking later
- If you want the pattern to keep more lasting, you can apply a protective agent.

I order these rocks for painting. The quality, size, color, durability, versatility and ease of cleaning makes it easier for me to use these rocks for my art. Painting on rocks is stress relieving. I use acrylic markers to paint with. I'm sure the rocks are very versatie for other hobbies.

This was my first purchase of rocks for painting, which I decided might make a relaxing hobby. The rocks were as advertised, with an assortment of sizes, and ready to use, although I did wash them off and let air dry before painting. I've given many as gifts that were pleasantly received.

I can no longer find rocks locally to paint. The selection from Amazon is great because they are smooth and flat and not too expensive because I hide them.

I ordered these to paint, and I am happy with the assortment of sizes and the fact that none of the rocks were broken or smaller than advertised. I had to rinse them off and dry them, but I didn't need to prime them, and my Nawod brand acrylic paint markers (from Amazon) show up well on them. I would recommend these.
