Laptop Batteries Maintenance Tips:
New battery:With a new battery, you'd better discharge it to 5%(not 0%) and charge up to 95%.Then cycle 3-4 times to wake up the new battery.
Overuse: Do not always run out of a battery to 0%, this would make it damaged or usage life shortened. Please recharge immediately when the battery reduced to 5%.
Long-term storage:If you remove battery for a long time, it is important to cycle it (discharge => charge) regularly, at least once a month. Please store the unused battery fully charged. Do not store at low power to prevent reduce the lifespan of a battery.
Charging sequence: when charging, first install the battery, then turn on the power, when fully charged, first cut off the power, then pull the power plug.
Installation Suggestion:
- You need to turn off your laptop and disconnect the power.Turn the laptop to the back, install a new battery, and fix it with a tool.
- Battery Installation is easy, you can search for the video about laptop battery or just find a repair technician for help.
- Avoid artificial shocks, disassembly, crush or puncture. Do not dispose of it in fire or water.
- Do not connect adapter for a long time while using the battery. It may damage the battery.
Battery Troubleshooting:
1.Maybe it is caused by a loose battery, please remove the battery and reinstall it again.
2.Maybe due to conductive material damaged which the laptop motherboard and battery anode and cathode contact position, you can try to confirm it with your original battery.
3.Check whether the battery drive is in normal condition, if not, download the corresponding driver software to update.
4.When the computer is turned on, if it is not recognised, it is recommended to update the BIOS settings or please disconnecting the old battery, and holding down the power button for 20 seconds, then connect the new battery.Try a few more times.

My HP Spectre x360 battery was swollen and would not hold a charge. A replacement laptop was going to cost over $1400 and the local repair shop wanted over $200 to replace the battery so I decided to search for a battery I could replace myself.I found this on on Amazon and it had the exact model number so I thought I would give it a try. It arrived the next day and it came complete with the tools I needed to open the laptop and remove the old battery. Included were tools for removing the Torx-5 screws, the Philip screws and prying the case apart.Replacement was simple - remove the screws, lift out the old one and slide in the new one. My laptop powered right up and reported about 86% charge. I'm in the process of following the recommended charge / discharge cycles to calibrate the battery and the laptop. This really could not have been easier.

Product was received in timely fashion. The battery was packaged securely, with an included set of 4 mini-screwdrivers and plastic separator tool. The included tools, allowed for the replacement procedure to be managed more easily. Once completed, the laptop booted up with no power issues. Although this battery isn't a 'duplicate' OEM, it is identical in all respects (total wattage, capacity, form). As with all batteries, they discharge over time. There's always the risk the computer manufacturer stops making your model, making getting replacement parts very difficult to obtain and almost always more expensive.I am glad I got this battery, and have more confidence it will allow me to not always rely on an AC outlet, when traveling.

My HP Pavillion had light but did not boot. I guessed that it coul be a battery. It was fairly easy to install already 50% charged so my critical work computer was up and running immediately. I wish the battery could have come earlier but happy it worked.

All of the connector and mounting points were all exactly where they belonged. I removed the original battery that had swelled and popped the laptop case, put this new one in, connected it and replaced the screws. Started the laptop and it worked. No issues whatsoever.

Installed per instructions, though I'm not a noob. Gave the laptop a tuneup with some new fans and a new battery. Battery was not the cheapest option. DOA. Recognized by the mainboard, threw errors about non-genuine battery which i can get past no problem.... Shows 100%; unplug and instant shut down. Returned.

I put this battery in my Spectre x360 convertible awxxx and since then it won't start anymore, not even with a genuine HP battery. Sent it to a repair shop which sent it to a specialist, but they couldn't determine the problem either. Laptop is ruined.

HP Notebook, it fits but Bios is restricting this Akku. Gives warings every restart. 100% to 0% in just 2,5 Hours, not better than the original akku that is 4 years old and gives 4 hours. Cheap akku, it funktions with big limits so just in emergency to be used
