Kinglos Intermediate-A Electric Violin:
Kinglos electric-violin provides violinists of all levels with the ability to practice confidently without disturbing others. Though the acoustic sound produced is barely a whisper, with headphones you will hear yourself in the rich, virtual environment of a resonant concert hall.
The intermediate electric violins have adjusting capabilities for volume and mixed voice.
Differences among the Kinglos electric violins of "Intermediate", "Advanced" and "Advanced 3-band-EQ":
The main difference between the Intermediate and Advanced is in sound pickup, the pickup's effect and sensitivity of Advanced series are better than Intermediate's.
Compared with Intermediate and Advanced series, the handicraft of Advanced 3-band-EQ is more complex and costs more expensive. The Advanced 3-band-EQ also has adjusting capabilities for high pitch, bass and mixed voice; while the Intermediate and Advanced can only adjust volume and mixed voice.
Notes:
- Just like all of other new violins, you may need to retune strings first few times when you start to play.
- When cleaning, please using soft cloth to clean the body and strings, and loose the hair of the bow after playing.
- In order to not damage the violin when shipping, the bridge may be under the fine tuners with a white paper package. You can put the bridge on the right place just like our pictures showed before you retune the strings.
- How to keep strings in tune: push the pegs inward as you tune the strings up to pitch. This ensures that the pegs hold tighter as the tension of the string goes up. If it does not work, use peg compound to help lock the pegs in place. You can also apply chalk (or rosin cake) onto the pegs where it is inserted into the peg box.

Ordered this and received it in 12 days from China. Unfortunately, it arrived broken (In half, broken at the neck). Customer service is quick to respond and very helpful, the quickly sent me a replacement. The replacement arrived in 19 days. The replacement works great! This violin sounds good and is easy to play. The sound you get through headphone is realistic. It even sounds better than my acoustics (Palatino 350, mendini mv200). Surprisingly, the strings that came with it did not snap while tuning (strings that come with instrument usually do). They even sounded okay. Not bad at all for coming with the violin. I did change them to D'addario prelude strings, which sound better and have a quicker response, but if I didn't have them on hand, the strings that came with it would do. So it's not silent really... but it is a million times quieter than an acoustic. And still quieter than an acoustic with a mute. When you put a mute on this, it becomes very quiet. A roommate may still hear you, but the rest of your house won't. I don't recommend using a mute with headphones, and the mute dulls the vibrations going to the pickup and makes it hard to hear. But it is quiet enough to not need one. Don't forget to buy batteries.EDIT: So I've been practicing on this for the last two weeks, about 30 minutes a day. My roommates are happier because the sound doesn't penetrate the walls very much. Be careful when tuning, the bridge likes to lean because the pickup sits on soft foam/rubber so there's more wiggle room. I am removing a star because I noticed after two weeks, clear coating over the paint has begun to dissolve/crackle under the chin rest (where the violin comes into contact my my neck). It's not flaking, but sort of crackling, making it look yellower/opaque in the area. As someone who is oily, I use a soft square cloth in between my neck and the violin and chin rest, so this confuses me. It shouldn't be my skin dissolving it? Maybe it is reacting to the heat? Whatever it it, I'm sad that the beautiful violin is a little less beautiful than before.

Great little electric violin. The rosin that came with it didn't really work, so my daughter had to use the one she had for her acoustic violin, but after that it worked just fine. The shoulder rest that comes with it isn't very comfortable, but that's expected for the price range.
