The item description says "Replacing Brass" and "POM". The exterior finish and metal type are both listed as brass. I don't know if I was expecting brass with POM threading or POM-coated brass or what, but what I got is solid POM.I haven't tested them for silence, only mechanical fit. They fit the lead screw better than the existing (worn) brass suggesting they will be quieter, but virtually none of the other dimensions (non-moving surfaces) are a good match and the all POM construction relative to brass makes me concerned for long term durability.They weren't expensive so it's hard to complain too much but still, THESE ARE ALL POM, NOT BRASS.

Good qauitly exactly as described. They are not threaded so you will need nuts and lock washers
