So took a chance on these covers and caps and I’m very pleased. Rubber caps fit the three old covers and the one I had to replace fit perfectly. It took a bit of patience to get the alignment just so. Used the width of a 2 x 6 and a 5 lb hammer to seat it. Used the narrow side so I could see how it was going in. This set will last me a lifetime due to limited trailer use, but id buy these again if I had to.

The product is not the correct size. It actually is a bit to big and will not fit in the hud assembly. I bought a different brand and it was 2.44 and went right in. I bought a 4 pack of these and all 4 were too big.

They are are a quality product, but they will not fit a dexter 2.440" trailer hub. As some reviews have said you could grind the o.d. but I prefer to buy what fits.

If you don't own a good bench grinder, you'll need to do a lot of cussing to get this to go. There was no way I was getting this on the hub without some significant grinding. Luckily I have a good 8" bench grinder. Went on fine after spending some time there.
