This vacuum chamber with tempered glass lid is specially designed for stabilizing wood, because wood stabilizing resins and volitile compounds are highly corrosive to polycarbonate and acrylic. Thus the acrylic crystal lid may crack soon in the wood stabilizing operation.

Accurate Pressure Gauge
Upon special treatment, the gauge reading is accurate. The outlet valve has an air filter to reduce airflow and prevent dust from entering the chamber.

I am very pleased with this item. I ordered it so that I could have a GLASS top and not an acrylic one (so I could use volatile solvents w/o problems). The valves seem a bit flimsy but they hold full vacuum over the whole night. Seals through the lid are good, too, and do not leak as some have said. I appreciate the little tool box that comes with it, although the wrench is not up to specs for me. All in all, a good purchase and I am well satisfied for the money I spent.

It didn't come with enough washers to hold the rubber in place on the gasket. The screw grips also don't hold well. That said the chamber itself will hold a vacuum -29 for at least 24 hours without the needle moving at all and I imagine it would last weeks without being touched. The size is wonderful and I overall would recommend it

Yeah it's a little risky buying unseen products, that do have some negative reviews. I didn't buy the pump with this , just the chamber or stainless steel pot and tempered glass lid. I hadnto deburr the hole in the lid to get the manifold to fit. The hole is a tight fit which good. The brass barbed fitting in the supplied hole is not a common American variety, didn't use it for my setup. I have used it a couple of times and pulls about 23inches Hg, which is fine for degassing epoxies. The glass top should last a long time asnits more scratch resistant than plastic. Happy with it

Vacuum hose was not in the box. Gauge displayed 15 inches of vacuum at atmospheric pressure. Instructions say to bend to get it into calibration. Save your money and find a better unit. No quality control on this product.

Was a bit unsure buying a different brand pump and chamber. This chamber is excellent, pperfect size, seals perfectly every time, never lost a vaccum yet. Very impressed.

Set it up per the very very basic instructions, calibrated the vacuum gauge started the vac pump, however even after 20 mins still no movement of gauge. Either the gauge is faulty of the seal of the silicone gasket is not fit for purpose. Can't contact seller so it would be good if they contacted me with options to replace gauge and valve set and maybe a less rigid silicone seal? Chamber is solid just the gauge as far as I can determine

Arrived on schedule, well packaged. Easy to assemble and the biggest plus point is that it has a tempered glass lid.
