I've been eyeballing how deep to drive in sheetrock screws for many years. When I saw these I decided to give them a try and was pleasantly surprised. With these I can quickly drive the screw to depth without worrying about going too deep and weakening the grip on the sheetrock. The description says magnetic and they are but it is very weak magnetism. It's not enough magnetism to hold a 1-5/8" sheetrock screw horizontal or vertical unless you are very gentle with it. And when you're in a hurry or tired from putting up sheetrock for hours, you're not going to be gentle. I would say its weaker than a refrigerator magnet. I tried using them in the included bit holder to see if that would increase the magnetism. It did NOT. So I deducted a star for weak magnetism. But as long as you pay attention to what you're doing and drive the outer rim of the bit up to the paper and stop, it will set the screw at the correct depth without breaking the paper. But like any other tool you're using, you have to pay attention to what you're doing. I gave them 4 stars because they do what they're supposed to in setting the screw to the correct depth. But it would take quite an increase in magnetism to get a 5th star from me. For the price though I'd say they are a good value as long as you understand their limitations.
