These types weights work amazing for surf fishing. A used them last year and needed more for this season which is why I picked these up. They are easy to use and will hold the bottom in heavy surf. Price is on the medium to lower end of what I've seen in person and online.

These sputnik sinkers have been a game-changer for my surf fishing. They grip the sandy bottom incredibly well, even in strong currents and heavy surf. I no longer have to worry about my bait being swept away, allowing me to focus on waiting for a bite.

These are standard sputnik-style sinker and work well for surf fishing. They come packaged with the tines bent flat which helps with storage. They don't come with any packaging with instructions so it is key to understand that the tines need to be bent out in order to get the anchor-like effect in the surf/sand. Fortunately they are easy to bend outwards to get the "sputnik" look and anchor effect.The only downside is they are big chunks of lead so if you are trying to limit your environmental impact then throwing big lead weights into the water isn't going to help with that. Unfortunately getting weights of this size/style that are not lead is not feasible.

I do quite a bit of surf fishing and have wanted to try these sputnik weights. I found them on vine and decide to give them a shot. I am looking forward to my next trip because they seem like they will work way better than my standard pyramid weights and hopefully not snag. I will update my review of I find any issues, but for now, I have to recommend. I will also be ordering another set of 3oz. I ordered the 4oz initially.

These Sputnik sinker wieghts are a great design. I do a lot of surf fishing in the spring and summer. I have used these wieghts before the larger wieghts size though. I like how the legs stay in the sand . These are definitely affordable and come in different wieght sizes.

These are pretty good but sinkers. The interesting thing about sinkers is they have two wires through the sinker that fold out and dig in the sand after you cast out so you can take tension up on the line. These are great for redfish and for Pompano and permit fish. My only complaint is the wire that digs it to the sand in having to bend them back out a little bit. I broke one off. I called. That is my fault but they should’ve used a better wire. That’s the reason I only gave it four stars.
