What Kind of Air Stone Should I Use?
A bigger air stone needs a more powerful pump to produce more bubbles.
Basically bigger air stones can produce more nice bubbles and they're used for powerful air pumps. If you connect a bigger air stone to a small pump, the bubbles will be produced only at the front of the stone. Small pumps go well with small air stones while powerful pumps and small stones don’t get along well.

We have hard water and even with a softener, air stones don't last all that long for us. I have found that this brand seems to last longer than others. They work well.

Great value for these air stones especially if you have a small fish tank. For the price and the amount that you get I change them every three months with a new one. My fish seem to enjoy the oxygen as enough air is flowing through the stones.

Started a Kratky method hydroponic garden last year and although it did well I noticed that the roots were getting root rot later in the season. My fault! They didn't get enough oxygen I'm sure. So this year I intend on putting one of these in all 50 containers to supply air and oxygen to the root system. Pretty sure it will work.

For the price at the time I couldn't pass them up. Worked just fine the only things I didn't like was the nipple would fall out easily sometimes and they was too light and the air pressure would make them rise up if they wasn't secured down.
