There are 6 strands in the nearly 7 yards of DMC Embroidery Floss. I am working in a Long-Short stitch following instructions from Emilie Ferris’s book that features a honey bee and it calls for using one thread at a time. It is a challenge to keep track of the 5 threads 2.5 feet long I’m not working with yet. This organizer keep them more immediately available and untangled compared to the remainder of the skein which is wound on a plastic bobbin threaded on a circle length cutting of a narrow ribbon. Keeping your thread organized is quite possibly the most challenging part of the art.

I love how it keeps my threads from being disorganized and confusing. It's the right size for my cross stitch projects progress. It's worth it. Very durable. :)

This is a great idea. Easy to access the thread. My only suggestion is that the tabs that hold the thread are too small to hold a full skein of floss.

I absolutely love this floss organizer. I hate buying kits only because of all the floss to keep organized and not get tangled. This makes it so easy, so much faster. I would gladly recommend this product to anyone who does needlework. Love it!

Functional concept, durable. Holds up to 50 colors of floss with paper insert to label the colors including spare inserts. Some of the underlying foam can be difficult to penetrate if the needle it dull.

Lightweight yet sturdy. Comes with extra card inserts. I like that I can thread all the needles and store them in one place. One reviewer didn’t think the felt was thick enough to store needles. You need to slide the needle in at an angle, not straight up and down. The felt is very durable and has held up for well over three projects over 8”x12”. Fits in a gallon Ziplock for protection from dust. Update 04/22/24: still in use, I did save one blank card and had it reproduced at a copy shop on card stock for much less than ordering replacements.

I have several of these. They are a bit slimmer and not as heavy as the Pako organizers but they work just as well and are half the price. These are now my go-to organizers for my floss for cross stitching. I put from one 6-strand length to four 6-strand lengths of floss on them and they handle it. (If I feel the need to put a whole skein of floss lengths out at one time, I use floss drops. Not even the Pakos handle the thickness of a whole skein, in my opinion.) These organizers get thrown in my project bags, dropped on the floor, stepped on by my dogs, and sat on. They still hold up.

I like this floss organizer. I hate having to untangle my floss or try to find the right color. Here it's all organized, labeled AND untangled.

I started using for my big cross stitch projects and what a game changer ! I need not fumble with changing different threads each time and definitely recommend!!it’s plastic so it’s a tad fragile but other than that no complains

Wasn't too sure how well it would work when I first got it but after taking the threads from my cross stitch kit and mounting them on it I am impressed - I only have a few colors for this project so i actually spread out by using every other post which is even better. Keeps thread neat and tidy, even smaller (not really small) pieces. haven't tried using push pins for smaller strands though.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday. She loves it! With the 50 positions, she has plenty of space for all the different colours in her tapestry.
