I had a hard time finding this locally. Everything I found had soap in it. Was happy to be able to get this.I'm using it with vinegar to get an aged look on wood for the floors in a dollhouse. The website This Old House has an article on ten uses for steel wool that explains how, plus many other uses.The package includes so much that I have quite a bit left for lots of household choresGreat value.

I generally just needed some less aggressive steel wool for my shop and general household use. This is perfect. The steel wool I had around before wasn't as fine as this and with this being a fine grit I'm able to get away with cleaning things and not having them damaged.I also use this to create an ebonizing solution and vinegar and with it being so fine, it disintegrated well in the solution.Great value too. Each roll is pretty hefty and will last a long time. I don't think I'm going to need steel wool for several years at least.

I use more than my share of #0000 steel wool. The various projects call for this product to polish, clean and etch surfaces. It can be used to clean auto glass (but do not use on vehicle's mirrors as that glass is too soft.)This product arrives in a sealed plastic bag with five 10 foot rolls wrapped in a cardboard tube. Its performance is just a bit disappointing though as it tends to run out of working power quite quickly. It did work well as a seal against rodent intrusion though. Also, it does not have the feel of a #0000 steel wool and it is more like a #00 or maybe #000.

I got this as a rodent deterrent. There are large (for a mouse) gaps around our dryer vent and we've been having issues with rodents. This steel wool comes in long rolls that are about 2 inches wide (but it's called steel wool for a reason and compresses far smaller). It does not feel as fine as the #0000 I bought years ago for finishing, but it's fine for stuffing in gaps. This product won't help with rodents wanting to take up residence in the engine compartment, but it should help keep them out of the camper...if I crawl around and find any potential entrances. It squishes down easily when stuffing it deeper into gaps.

I plan on using these for woodworking projects. Each roll is individually wrapped and is larger than I imagined they'd be. These look to be like any other steel wool you'd find, so if the price point meets your needs, I think the product would as well.

This is 000 steel wool, and I use a lot more of 0000 but there's still a point to using this. They came strapped within five cardboard sleeves, and so you can use them as needed. I had large rolls weight several pounds before, and while that deal is better per foot, it's not very convenient to use. The picture makes it look like you get some of those rolls, but really, the rolls resemble a rectangle when packaged rather than a round roll, and each is about the size of a small brick. I saw another reviewer state that this isn't 0000 steel wool, and that's what I ordered. I suspect they changed the product description, perhaps after his review calling that out. Overall, not a bad deal though, and I'm satisfied with them even though I really wanted the 0000.
