Ordered these not being sure what I would get but they turned out to be well-made. The only warning I would offer is that the proper diameter hole for these appears to be 7 mm. The closest drill to that is a J letter drill at 7.04 mm or 0.277 inches. I happened to have a set of letter drills but if you don't you may want to order a 7 mm drill bit when ordering these.

These products are great and easy to use. A heavy duty rivet tool works best for installing. I would most definitely recommend this product to anyone. Great for repair and fabrication purposes.

I have purchased and installed about 150 of these rivet nuts. They are easy to use and seem to be high quality. It would have been helpful if they came with installation instructions for installation both with a specialized tool and with just ordinary wrenches.

If you use a gripsert tool. don't screw the gripsert tool onto the nut completely. screw it onto thetoolonly far enough to easily close the tool completely . Then don't remove the gripsert tool, tighten the tool until it is still easy to close the tool until it won't close any further. Repeat this until the fastener is snug and won't turn, and then unscrew the fastener from the tool. You will be finished. These are not like pop-rivets where it snaps the core off.

If you have used the aluminium inserts before and had them strip out. Then go through all the work of replacing them, only to have them do it again. These are steel threaded inserts. They are 10 times stronger and 10 times better.
