- - The air conditioner's fan wouldn't spin - stopped working.

My Tappan gas home furnace was not working and needed the run capacitor replaced. Found this replacement, wired it correctly and my Tappan furnace started right up. Part works well. No problems! Great vslue and fit for the money spent.

I used this VEXUNGA capacitor to replace a Wilspec Tech capacitor that went out in my furnace. Dimensions were almost exact. The difference in length or width were negligible. Plugged the new one in, turned on the heat, and it worked instantly. It was a tad quieter and a bit faster to engage, too. Will update when it goes out, which hopefully will be years from now. Saved $200+!

My pool heater stopped working because blower motor didn't start. I would hear a buzzing sound like electronics were turning on, but the blower would blow any air. Did some research online and turned out the culprit is faulty capacitor required to start turning motor. I matched the Farad rating of the motor with the capacitor. Voila. Problem solved with this capacitor. This capacitor works fine. Safety reminder - Just make sure you discharge the old and new capacitor (in case someone returned it) before handling, so you don't shock yourself.

I have a 25 year-old Rheem air conditioner. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. It always blows air, but mysteriously it would start blowing hot air after it had cycled on at least once. I had TWO AC companies come out to troubleshoot, and both times they used the old "the coils were dirty" excuse, hosed off my exterior unit, and charged me $250 for the service. Oh yes, and with a statement that "the unit is about to go at any time, so we had better install a new one for only $10K...".After a couple of years of frustration with the unit but not having the budget for a new one, one day it just hit me that perhaps the capacitor was partially working, but maybe was not working well enough when hot to be able to start up the compressor.So I looked at the old one, saw that the specs matched this one, and a day later I had the new one arrive from Amazon. From start to finish it took me 15 minutes to replace, and I am VERY slow on these type of jobs typically. Just be sure the unit is not getting any power and put your system to "off" and you should be fine.Now the AC unit works EVERY time I need it. It is truly like having a new system. So like many things in life these days: you have to do it yourself. But at least for an AC capacitor it is an easy install and won't break your bank. I am tempted to send an invoice back to the AC companies that failed to recognize this, but that is another matter :-)Anyway, 5 strong stars for this as a perfect replacement for my Rheem. Oh yes, side-note, the picture looks identical to the old one, but the new one is just smaller. It still is held in place just fine and needed no modifications, but just be aware.
