Perfect size to fit in a 1 1/2 PVC pipe. Use them on the overflow pipe on my pool to keep from wasting water when swimming, local city ordinance requires an overflow pipe in one of the skimmers 1 inch above normal water level. Get a couple of kids, or adults, jumping in and out of the pool and the splashing water gets drained off quick.Also comes in handy for plugging any 1 1/2 drain lines, under sink and washing machine, so you can work on clearing any clogs in the drain lines without worrying about any water coming out.

Sturdy plug with excellent sealing into a threaded hole. I used it to plug the livewell drains on a 189 Egret flats boat.
