So for my IRobot 675E my original battery (2.5 months old) was only giving us a little over an hour of run time. Very disappointing. Originally it was going around 2 hours (+/- 15 minutes) but we were having to manually set on dock more times than not getting near the 3 month mark due to power failure. Purchased this battery to see if it would improve run time any and the answer was YES. But we found something interesting......I installed this battery (super easy) and let charge on docking station overnight. The next morning, I fired it up and let it begin its work, but not before i unplugged the home base so that it would not be recalled and I could see just how long this battery would operate. Well, after 4 hours and 15 minutes it finally died in our hallway. Very good battery charge! What was interesting was that the self docking signal still came on at 1 hour 40 minutes, just like it did with our original battery. The low battery warning light was on as well and stayed lit for over 2 hours. Apparently the return to home base function and battery capacity indicator is software/time based and not reliant on the actual battery charge capacity. Interestingly enough, on day 2 of operation with this new battery, the Roomba unit stopped twice during operation, usually about 1 hour 50 minutes or so duration each time, and stated job complete. I started up again and away it went. Curious how the first day went over 4 hours and the second it was shutting down on its own, almost like software was being altered even though we showed no updates applied to the OS. Day 3 of operation (today), we are currently at 2 hours run time. The docking light is flashing and the low battery warning light is currently on but my unit just keeps going. I have since cleaned out the debris compartment and swapped filters once. It has not quit working yet, so curious to find out if it will go the entire 4 hours again or if it will stop, stating job complete and requiring manual restart. In conclusion, this battery seems to be well worth the investment. Longevity will determine any future amendments to this review. Downside is, due to apparent software installed in the Roomba, to get longer run times you would need to unplug the home base unit and plug back in after the fact. Small sacrifice though for getting extended run time for cleaning the floors.

Roomba Model 561. Initially I got the "ERROR 01" message and it wouldn't charge. The battery came precharged, so it actually ran the roomba just fine, it just wouldn't charge. I noticed that the battery terminals were recessed more than the battery I took out, so I tried to bend the smaller terminals from the base up, to facilitate the contact with the battery. I couldn't believe it actually worked perfectly after that! I also checked and cleaned (with fine sandpaper) the terminals and the tabs, to make sure there was a good electrical connection. This battery seems to run forever, usually it docks itself after 1-1.5 hrs. Old battery was lucky to last 15 mins. and wouldn't even reach the docking station before it died. Good luck!

After about 6 months of good use and enjoying my roomba, the roomba would display a dead battery indicator, and constantly boot cycle when I would reposition it on the charger.I removed the battery, and decided to test the voltage. Any sane person designing a lithium battery pack will contain an electronic "brain" that manages the charge level of the batteries within. These electronics make sure that the batteries are well-maintained, so that your roomba doesn't spontaneously combust as it cleans up the cheerios your nephew tosses under your coffee table .Basically, if the charger tries to charge too much, the Battery Management System (BMS) will turn off and be like "nope, they full" and diconnect. If the Roomba is getting close to empty charge, it disconnect and say "batteries getting too low" in order to prevent damage to the batteries' sensitive inside bits.So when I went to test the voltage, I got 2.5mV volts on the battery terminals. Ensuring I wasn't insane, I use a different multimeter and still got 2.5mV, verifying my meter on my nearby drone battery which read a happy 4.09V.What this could mean, since I cannot take the pack apart (without hoping to get a replacement), are a few things:1) The BMS circuitry malfunctioned and something in the electronics died. Normally, this is rare, because in my experience the next point is FAR MORE common.2) There are 8 individual 18650 cells inside this pack. 4 in series, 4 in parallel. The BMS will (presumably) normally balance these cells so that they each have the same voltage (cells are never identical in their characteristics, so you want them all on the 'same page', so to speak). If one of these cells goes bad (aka internally shorts), then that cell will have a super low voltage and sort of tank the entire pack. For example, let's focus on the 4 cell in series case. If you have 4 cells in series (you add the voltages), they should normally be 3.6V * 4 = 14.4V if we are dealing with a nominal charge. But now, say one cell dies and can only maintain 0.5 V for various chemistry reasons. So now we have a pack that has 3.6 + 3.6 +3.6 +0.5 = 11.3V. Now remember how the BMS disconnects if the battery get too low? Well generally 18650 batteries should not go below 3.0v, so let's assume this is the minimum safe charge. This level will be 3.0*4=12V. So even if one cell goes bad, then the BMS, if simply designed (which let's be honest, they probably are not too complicated given the price), then the BMS will never charge and simply display a disconnect, as it does in my case.Honestly, subpar lithium cells are the anathema of modern devices. Given the price, these cells are probably low quality, or do not go through enough quality control in order to root out the "Early Infant Mortality" cases of the bathtub curve.Anyways, took a gamble, and I lost. Most likely subpar lithium cells. For $40, ehhhh, would probably not do it again. If you like gambling and the casino is too far of a drive, try this battery pack.If you win you get clean floors.

Editing my first review. It was not the battery. Kept getting”clean brushes” notification on Roomba. Did a factory reset and works fine.

What’s there to say about a battery? **This** battery seems to be doing a good job. The Roomba functions well three times a week, the battery charges properly, and I am happy with this product. It was easy to install.

I replaced my old OEM battery with this one and it is far superior. The original was giving me 35-45 minutes of use between charges and failing to find Home before dying. This new battery will operate for 90 minutes, when the internal Job Timer sends it Home. And, it always finds Home because the battery still has plenty of charge after 90 minutes of runtime.Replace your OEM battery with this and give new life to your Roomba.

I fully charged and ran the Roomba 600 series. The Roomba stopped after 70 minutes, I pushed the button and it ran another 70 minutes and stopped, I pressed the button again and it ran another 70 min and stopped. I did not run it empty. Roomba must have a timer on it preventing the full 210 minutes. Battery seems to work well, but I will have to see what it's like after a month of use and update.

My Roomba 870 has weekly job to vacuum my bedroom. It’s set to vacuum every Friday.Room is small around 200sq.ft. Job is taking 30 - 40 minutes. According to description thisbattery replacement should by ok for 1000 charges and can vacuum for 3-4 hours before returningto base. My battery pack not lasted even 2 years. During this time was charged around 100 timesdespite weekly 30 to 40 minutes job. Now freshly charged last maybe 10 minutes and is drainedcompletely. Doesn’t even return to base, just stops in the middle of the room , no energy left.I have to manually put my vacuum on base to start charging. I’m disappointed of this pack.

I let it charge for 48 hours between uses and it has been going longer by about five minutes after two charges. I guess the battery is getting conditioned. This battery works longer and is lighter than the OEM battery and is supposed to go through three times as many discharges as the original battery, as it is lithium. I don't know about that and can't know for at least three years. But I am quite happy with it so far.
