This is not a direct replacement for my Honda Drive Cable. It does not have the screw adapter on the handle end to secure it to my mower the way the OEM cable does. I have put up a couple pictures showing a close up of what this cable looks like compared to what my mower needs. The product picture doesn't show the detail of the cable to well and that there are no threads on it. I will get an OEM replacement cable and that will solve the problem. I guess not all HRX217 mowers are configured the same way.
