I use these drill bits enough that, because of their small size (about 0.052", 1.32mm) I frequently need to replace one I haven't treated gently enough. These hold their edge well in non-ferrous metals, and last reasonably well. (I generally used them with a hand-held flex-shaft tool, but I'm sure they'd last longer with the stability of a good drill press behind them.)If you find yourself wanting holes that pass 16ga wire easily but snugly, this is the one to get. I just received these yesterday, and so far one of the bits was dull from the start. Second one has worked well. We'll see about the longevity and whether or not there are more duds in the package, but the price is right.

Absolute garbage. Can't even drill through annealed copper with these. I've learned my lesson. I'll be getting quality bits from now on instead of this discount trash.

This is a 1/16†drill bit, which is not a #55. It is a #53 .059.

Used these bits to drill out the orifices for the gas valves for my Jenn Air barbeque grill, to get higher temperatures. It worked perfectly!
