I have several perennials in half-barrel planters. With a mild winter, they return in the spring. A harsh winter destroys them. I assume they don't get the protection of the ground inside a planter and freeze more easily...so I put the barrel planter into this bag, placed some bubble wrap (from Amazon packages) around the edges to cut the heat loss from wind chill. The fact that the bag is black means it will pick up more heat from sunlight over the winter as well.This bag is just the right size for a half-barrel planter, with extra to cover the plants on top if desired.

Brought it for my outdoor drum during the summer time to keep the barrel from sun damage and it held up well.

This comes flat and folded as you might imagine. The material has what appears to be a "darkening" lining for lack of a better term, it's silver in color, but it sticks to itself. Mine had been left in the sun for a period of time. Perhaps that made it worse. but it was a bit difficult to "open the bag." Not terrible, just annoying. It probably didn't take over 3 or 4 minutes to "work it open," but I was constantly thinking this thing might tear. It didn't, but it wouldn't have hurt for the manufacturer to dust it with a little powder to keep it from sticking together.Now that mentioned, I'd buy the same one again. That annoying lining however, provides an opaque protection from light. Exactly what I wanted in this case. That lining may have other uses I'm unaware of as well. Additionally, this cover fit over the 55 gallon barrel perfectly. Perfect, easy, fit over the barrel and slid down easily. (maybe another reason for this type lining?)The bag comes with a convenient closure system that I wouldn't use, but it's there for those that might want it.Anyway, I'm quite satisfied and would purchase it again for additional barrels as I mentioned

Wow I wasn’t sure this was gonna be up to all the hipe. Yes and more! It came in little zippered bag. It is a drawstring pull on bottom to tighten around barrel. Heavier material that I expected. It is also lined. Bonus! The property is on a hill where we get a lot of wind so I thought the wind might destroynit pretty quickly & it looks just as good as the day I slipped it on over the barrel. Would purchase again.

Great product to help keep the sun/uv off of my chlorine drums as they as it reduces the life of the product.Much cheaper than the alternatives we were using and are holding up great.Great product for the price!

If you are looking for a cover that will last do not buy this. My order was received today 19/04/2024 and I was disappointed as soon as I touched it. The material is almost like a plastic bag. The picture on Amazon definitely has me fooled
