I live in a desert region in West Texas and collecting rainwater is a must to support my backyard plants and save a little on my monthly water bill in the process. This 55-gallon barrel is perfect for the job and the tapered design along with the raised support stand gives good water pressure/flow out the bottom. The molding of the ridged 'bronze' finish has a nice aesthetic to it that varies in places and I love the fact that the spots for potentially daisy-chaining with another barrel are marked but not pre-drilled so that the integrity of the sides remains intact. The removable top fits tightly and has an anti-mosquito mesh intake that is good enough to take the flow of water from my downspout diverter at full 'deluge' levels which sometimes happens with our summer monsoon storms. The brass spigot provided only has a single gasket for the bulkhead seal and the spigot's internal mechanism relies on a rubber gasket mechanism to get a tight closure. Our environment is murder on that type of faucet/spigot so I ended up replacing it with a stopcock-style spigot which produces a higher water flow and a more reliable seal when it's closed over the long term. The barrel fits the included stand perfectly and together they have a surprisingly small overall footprint. I'm very happy with this addition to our rainwater collection arsenal and expect it to give many years of service before it's all said and done.

It went together. Extremely easy. It looks great! Very sophisticated. It appears to be a high quality build. I will wait to see how it withstands an Arizona summer.

The stand is a nice compliment to the barrel. One of the best looking barrels out there, imo. Customer service is outstanding if you have any questions or concerns. One year warranty is provided, so keep your receipt.

I liked the looks of it. Waiting on some rain, but so far so good.

Product looks nice but it was slow to drain out when I tried to attach the hose. Could have been my hose though. It was one of those stretchy ones that feels like it has a balloon material inside of it. It did spray out faster when I tugged on the hose. Haven’t tried it yet with a normal hose.

Went through first rain fall and it held up well. No leakage. Faucet is metal and easy to use Appreciated the stand. Am watching and hoping the weight of water doesn’t tipIt. So far so good. Only reason for lack of five stars—no overflow opening. Must drill and add additional hose to connect to another barrel.

How did I ever live without rain barrels?? We call it harvested water lol. We have a ranch and things are pretty spread out so these wonderful contraptions mean we don’t have to have hoses running all over the place. Makes it so easy to water the hanging and deck flowers. THIS rain barrel is at our front door because it’s just so pretty. I’m taking one star off because the brass fitting/tap is kind of flimsy but we attached a more robust one to it along with a short hose to make filling watering cans easier. I think for the $$ they could have a better fitting AND include a hose which out other rain barrels did come with. Having said that this one comes WITH a base which is great. It’s still worth the money because it is so attractive I’m happy to have it front and centre at our front entry. Buy a rain barrel, you’ll LOVE it!! : )
