It seems to be a good drill bit. I used it to enlarge a hole in a shovel handle to accommodate a larger tang on a pitchfork head. So I was just making a hole larger in oak, but it worked great. I can't say how good it would do in steel, but I have no reason to think it wouldn't be fine in machinable steel as are similar bits.

Drill bit works great drilled through 40 3/16 steel holes without issues.

This ultimate was able to drill the hole I needed for my 2in receiver hitch pin but was a struggle. Wasn’t able no cut into the metal at lower speed with appropriate lubrication and a reasonable pilot hole so will probably not last very long. I’m sure it would be fine for wood or plastic

Came un sharpened, couldn't drill through hot butter. Lol .I would send it back but needed it so I sharpened it and it worked fine.
