It drilled a clean 9/16 hole.

The 11/16" drill had some micro dings and imperfections, and is cheap Amazon stuff, so I was concerned. I drilled over 8 total inches of thickness in mild steel this weekend and it is still functional (without sharpening). Worth every penny as a HSS drill.

Bits this size are hard to find at a reasonable price. Since I will use these primarily for wood and only occasionally for metal, they should work fine. The shipping, however leaves much to be desired. I had to return the first set as the container was absolutely destroyed. Packing consisted of only one blown out air pack. The container is poorly made to start with and apparently couldn't hold up to the rigors of shipping. The replacement was somewhat better, although that was damaged also. I was able to repair it with a lot of patience and no small amount of epoxy. Made in China.

This is a heavy-duty drill bit. It has a flat on the shank, so it marries well with an extension, as was needed for my application.

Used this to drill two holes through 2†thick cast steel parts. Worked great and seems to be in perfectly good shape.

I needed to open up a hole for a hitch ball on my tractor that had a 1 7/8 inch tow ball with a 13/16" hole. This bit cut through two 1/4" steel plates with ease.

Pretty case and drill bits. Case should have been taped shut as bits were in a jumbled mess when I opened. Runout is so so. Material at drill point shattered when used. OMG, these folks need to go back to the drawing board regarding what a real drill is made from and how it is sharpened. Pretty does not equal functional. I should have known better. If
