I was excited to try this one out for my use. I use 1/2" schedule 40 black pipe (6 inches) and bore them out for a .625 cold rolled steel round stock to fit inside. Easy to use the bit and was the perfect size bore.

I have only drilled a few holes in plastic, it seems like it is accurate and I don't think its it's going to break as long as you don't force it though metal.

I needed this to enlarge 1/2" holes in a vehicle frame to 13.5 mm. This bit went through the steel like butter. I really did not expect it to be as easy as it was.

At first, it might seem that metric vs imperial systems were to blame here, but after receiving the other sizes ordered, it would seem that the seller shipped the wrong size. Not worth the effort to exchange. Can always use an intermediate size.

The bit was sharp and measured the right diameter, but it was not quite true. I have an exceptionally well aligned drill press, and this bit had a wobble at the end. I checked my drill press against 3 other high quality bits that I have to make sure it was not my drill press. It was this bit. I still used it, and it did make a slightly wider hole then it should have, but it got the job done for what I was making. I recommend you move on to a higher quality bit.

I used this bit to drill 5/8" holes in 3/16" steel plate with a drill press. I started with a 3/16" pilot hole. The new 5/8" bit did not seem to have any "bite" and only made very very small chips like a countersink bit. It finally stopped going deeper. I had to use another 1/2" bit to enlarge the pilot hole. After 2 of 4 holes were complete I had to resharpen the 5/8" bit.I would not recommend this bit to a friend

2 stars only b/c it worked but I only needed to drill thru 1/16" metal backplate to mount a toggle switch and the bit almost didn't cut it. It was a one-off project and local stores don't carry metric drill bits, so took a chance w/this one. Kudos b/c it worked but I'll purchase a whole set of good bits before I purchase another one of these.

The tip wobbles creating a larger hole.
