I love my new wine opener and the little accessories that came with it I like that it has a base it can sit on and the plugs are handy for saving the rest of your unfinished wine bottle. It's elegant on display and fun to use, too. I had always relied and complained about using my own wrist for opening bottles and am sad I didn't get something like this sooner. Especially at this price, it's really a good buy for own home or as a nice gift.Update: I've used it a few times and it is sounding like it's running out of battery, which worries me a little. I've taken away a star for that and that the battery compartment (4 AAs) is quite difficult to close properly.

I've been using an electric rechargeable opener that finally quit so I ordered the battery version. I kept having to charge the electric model between every 2 bottles. The battery version will keep going without charge for a long time, even when I don't use it often. That makes a battery-charged opener worth the price. The 4 AA batteries are easy to load, and once inserted, the opener works well. Press the button to take out the cork, then press the top button to drop the cork. The cutter works easily, as well as does the stopper. The pourer is just that; it is not an aerator, and appears cheaply made. Because I don't have much hand strength, I like items that make tasks happen more easily. This one fits that bill. I think it would make a great stocking stuffer because of the price and much longer use between charges.

This is a great wine bottle opener.Previously, I have been using the pressure pump style bottle opener. It works, but it is also a lot of work to use.This is a recharable battery almost automatic cork remover.So easy to use and easy to remove the cork after opened.The display/holding stand is attractive and holds all the accessories.This is now proudly displayed on our counter next to the wine rack.Very happy with the product and the price.Everyone that needs to remove corks from bottles,, should give this a try.

We love our new wine opener system. The wine opener itself is very sturdy and well made. It works great. Just pop in 4 batteries (i.e., AA size) and you're ready to go. One button causes the screw-hicky to drill into (and remove) the cork. Push another button and the cork is released.The rest of the system's components are also important. These include: 1.) A cutter to get the little bit of foil off the top of the wine bottle so you can access the cork. 2.) A pour, and 3.) A reusable rubber vacuum cork. This useful little gadget allows you to pump out the air from your wine bottle keeping it fresh for longer.

This is a very nice wine opener set. Once I had the batteries installed, i was able to uncork the wine bottle seamlessly. The whole set looks very elegant when placed on its stand. It comes with the opener itself, a foil cutter, a vacuum stopper, and a pourer. All of them work very well!The one problem I encountered was when I had to install the battery initially. You need 4 AA batteries (not included), and once you insert them, putting the cover back on is quite a chore. They have a small marking to guide you on the cover but it is hard to see the corresponding marking on the opener rim. I had a very tough time getting it on. It would be so much easier if they provided a rechargeable assembly instead.

We've had the typical plain manual Corkscrew type wine openers which of course are effective but can be a little awkward to use. The opener itself seems well made and I like that fact that it uses common AA Alkaline batteries and not an electric plug in cord or rechargeable batteries requiring a charging cable. It's elegant and compact taking up minimal space on our Bar and looks expensive. The foil cutter, Wine pourer and Vacuum bottle stopper are bonus accessories. Well worth the price and will make a great gift for anyone and any occassion.
