Bought these for my automotive classes so students when learning would keep wasting my money on fuses. I am an automotive teacher for technicians from a major car company. Checked these units with an amp clamp and a DSO and they all actually open circuit and stay opened very close to their reported ratings. This is what these things are supposed to do so you dont dammage the circuits, wiring, or controllers where you have installed them. Other brands not so much. Do note that uppon arival and opening of bag they all smelled like that classic burned out electronics smell so I was quite happy to find that they all actually worked after checking them.

These are an excellent diagnostic tool to use while finding these source of your fuse blowing issue. So much better than fuse after fuse after fuse. Granted they are NOT for fuse replacement and are intended for short term use, obviously. They're tall enough for you to get to and easily reset them while diagnosing, but probably too tall toger the covers back on the fuse blocks. They come in all the amperages common to most applications. I got the mini fuse/breaker set (this set) and the standard size as well. Now my only problem is getting them back when folks borrow them, grin.

Hvac unit had a low voltage short and these resettable fuses helped test and locate the short and not waste a couple packs of fuses.
