Piece of rubber with a hole to tie your line. Not much to say. Works.

For what ever reasons, today's practice plugs seem to be offered in a limited weight range. When you can find them, and that can be a challenge. Most that I have are between 1/4 oz and 1/2 oz. I build my own rods, and service my own reels, and often want to test them with practice plugs either lighter or heavier than those mentioned above. This selection meets that need. That said, when tested on my kitchen scales, most were a bit lighter than described (although my scales might not be accurate, so that's a consideration, too). While the 1/4 oz and 1/2 oz versions tested as accurate, and the 1/3 oz and 2/5 oz plugs were reasonably close, the 1/5 oz and 3/4 oz versions were a bit lighter than stated. Of course, none of this matters that much. Having a plug significantly lighter than 1/4 oz and one nearly 3/4 oz really expands what I can learn when testing. It also means I can improve my casting ability, too. There really isn't a lot to be said about the quality of these plugs. They're rubber and I can't imagine any demands I might place upon them which would damage them. They are what they are, and that is a nice set of practice plugs at an attractive price.

These aren't as easy to find as I thought they would be. Glad I got these. I have a neighbor boy that I'm going to teach to fish. These will go a long way towards showing him the basics without worrying about hooks.I'm sure these will last longer than I need them, but if I had my druthers, I would have made the eyelet thicker and stronger. For my purposes, I don't expect any problems. But if they are to fail, it's the eyelet that will fail.

These are great for practicing, but don't exactly cast like a typical rig. Practice is practice though.
