Bought these adjustable plates, so I could jury-rig a flatter-than-normal, swing-out mount for a small TV in my kitchen (combined with a T-strap Hinge). When I described my idea to my husband, his concern was that the unit and the components as a whole be sturdy enough to both hold up the TV and withstand overzealous human action (what can I say? Kids.). Well, these suckers are HEAVY DUTY. I think they may actually weigh more than the TV. They were more than up to the task, and the slots allowed for the adjustability I needed to both match the mounting screws in the back of the TV and make sure it was level. They were also wide enough to fit the chunky screws that are typically used in larger TVs (and shed door hinges). I used washers to allow them to accommodate the tiny screws that fit the back of my tiny kitchen TV. We only needed two out of the six, so we’re holding onto the rest for future projects!

I used this to replace a bracket and connector on a garage door opener track (where it meets the wall). The old one was bent. This heavy duty metal connector was perfect, gave me size and bolt placement options. It’s so thick that I had a difficult time enlarging one of the holes for a larger bolt…that is a good thing. It is VERY strong. I’m happy with it! And have 3 more for random use in the future. You never know when you’ll need something like this but I’m quite sure I will.
