This is a very nice looking lamp. Perfect for the bedside. It gives you plenty of room for books or magazines. It does have a ton of screws, but that ensures that it is very sturdy. Everything went together correctly and easily.

Bought for a gift. The person is a book lover. This is just what they needed for an area of their room. Soft light and books perfectly displayed. Great value and design.

It looks really nice once assembled, and my unit was not missing any pieces or anything like that. It was a little tricky to assemble as some of the screw holes didn’t really line up, however if you only partially tighten the screws you can wiggle them all into place and then tighten it all up. It seems pretty sturdy and comes with a bracket (safety strap) to attach to the wall to keep it from falling over. It is a decent size and functions perfectly!

I love books almost as much as I love things that save space! This was super easy for one person to put together and it's very sturdy once completed. All the screw holes lined up perfectly. Like other reviews have said, I do put heavier books on the bottom shelves so it's not top heavy. The laminate on the wood seems really thick, so it should stand up to whatever happens to it. I love the style of wall anchor that came with it also. Now that it's put together, I love how it looks in my room and I want more!Two things I think need improvement: the lamp shade is quite flimsy and does not flatten out completely once installed, so that kinda bugs me. Also. I feel like a second, split washer should have been included to make the light fixture more sturdy once screwed in. With a washer on only one side of the wood it kind of wobbles. Consider buying a large split washer to fix this issue.NOTE ABOUT COLOR TEMPERATURE: This was not mentioned anywhere in the item description OR manual. To change this, you must turn the pull string on and off to cycle through the colors. I didn't know that was a feature when I bought it, but it's kind of annoying. If you miss the color you want, you have to cycle back through all the others to get to it again.

The bookcase was very easy to assemble. The instructions were easy to follow and it went together quickly. All the parts were packed well.It’s not super stable, we’ve accidentally knocked it over a couple of times while trying to turn on the light. It wasn’t damaged.I recommend using the wall mount and maybe picking up an additional bracket/wire set up.The shelves do not feel very strong. I am nervous of putting too many, or large books on them. The cat did try to climb them and the shelves made worrying cracking sounds but there is no obvious damage.Overall I think it functions as expected. It is both a book display shelf and a nice lamp. It’s a good quality for the price. Great for dorms or living rooms of the budget conscious.The bulb that is included is a bit dim for my taste but the other roommate thinks it’s perfect for reading at night.

I actually had my partner put it together because they love putting together furniture, but they did have a complaint that the directions were not super clear and they actually had to backtrack a few times to undo mistakes, but other than that, the shelf is pretty it holds my books, and the three different light settings are nice. I would buy this again, but only because my partner said they were willing to build it again now that they’ve done it once they know what to do next time.So a word of caution, make sure you read the directions very carefully and make sure the pieces are pointed in the direction they are supposed to be or you will get frustrated with having to take it back apart halfway through the project

Not only are the tools in this set inadequate (I couldn't get the whole thing completed before the Allen wrench stripped midway though) then I was told that they don't give replacement Allen wrenches so I was given a link to purchase a toolset with the size of the wrench....also the base of the lamp bolts will not screw in fully, so I have to carefully move it...this must be why it comes with a secure backing set...awesome idea and looks good but manual labor needs a bit of help..

Beautiful bookshelf / lamp. Good quality, easy to assemble, looks exactly like the pictures, and is such a wonderful addition to my space. Initially my shelf was sent with two #2 pieces and missing the #3 piece by mistake. I emailed Evermagin at the email provided in the packaging and they got back to me within 24 hours and provided me with a whole new bookshelf. Great customer service.

An absolute nightmare to put together. Instructions are so confusing . Hard on the hands too while using the tools provided .
