Forget the cable ties, these are so much faster for the shorter and some not so short USB cables and even some power cables. And I use them everywhere. When I only have a longer cable for the job and the distance is very short, I fold the excess cable and apply these rubber bands.The Velcro cable ties are too much hassle and take too much time to apply.Oh, how I am saved by these bands.

These worked perfectly for tie dying shirts. They’re smaller in circumference than a typical rubber band, but they’re thicker so they can handle being stretched more.
